Turned this one down today

Happy to get the offer from my very lovely SA for this DJ, but it just wasn't in the configuration that I wanted. Holding out for the one that truly sings...

Nice to get the call though!

Proud of you. AD thinks most consumers would buy anything that they offer.

Wow looks great to me. I think I would prefer fluted bezel on jubilee but would be hard pressed to pass on that beauty though. Is fluted and jubilee what you at waiting for?

Yes - having seen this particular DJ in person when first launched, it just looked best in fluted / jubilee. Plus, I already have a smooth bezel DJ, albeit on jubilee.

Nice Alpine Eagle @Jparm !!!! Very underrated piece and one of the best integrated bracelet "porthole" styles out there. I am saving for a green dial, but have you seen the new gold dial they just released????? Freaking gorgeous.

Thanks - absolutely love the AE!

I saw the gold one that was just released and it blew me away, even as a RG vs. YG fan. If funds were unlimited, I'd grap that one as well. Alas...

Good call on waiting for something that really jumps out at you.

And as you said, you aren't hurting for options. That Seamaster in Sedna gold is particularly stunning (the others aren't bad, either )

It would be cool to get a fluted on oyster so you can have all of configurations

Ooh, that would be a tough one for me. I have been wanting a blue fluted motif dial 36mm ever since it was released last year. I've actually have never seen this dial in person yet, but always looks stunning in photos and videos! I have been asking my AD for this piece with a fluted bezel and on Jubilee. If I was offered this one in your pic, I'd have a real tough time passing on it! Ultimately, I would most likely do the same and hold out for the one I truly want. Man!....That dial IS a beauty though!

God what a beautiful dial. I would have passed as well if it wasn’t what I was looking for, especially with your other watches to hold you over lol!

I don't why, but the fluted bezel just completely makes the DJ for me. I would have passed as well, although a nice piece.

I actually prefer the Aqua Terra and cash to the DJ smooth bezel, but I am a sucker for a the fluted bezel DJ. Especially in green.

Good things coming your way OP, nice pass. Let someone who loves it completely take it home.

Once you get the new DJ in your desired config you need to get an oyster bracelet (separately), so you can switch it up. It’s a great accessory for the DJ.

I absolutely love that dial.
For me, it is too busy a dial to have with fluted bezel.
However that with jubilee and smooth is a killer combo.

ive turned down 3 watches
no point in buying something you dont want
this idea of pandering to salesmen to take 11 grand for a watch is absurd

Very nice dial but think looks better on fluted bezel / jubilee

I think the dial was meant to match the fluted bezel design, so yes, a fluted bezel would be better.

Nice to get the call though!

My buddy Jack has the TT champagne dial version of this watch and it looks amazing in person! The dial really stands out.
