Datejust 41 for 126613LB (Bluesy)

Hi guys,

I have DJ41 with blue dial and BLNR, both on Jubilee bracelet.
I wanted to add to the collection 126610LV but I recently saw 126613LB and I can't stop thinking about it.
So I thought it will be better call if I add Bluesy to the collection. However as Bluesy and DJ41 have both blue dial I thought it will be better if I trade DJ41 for Bluesy.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance

They might both have blue dials, but they are very different style of watch.
Do you need to trade the DJ to get the Bluesy?
If not, then just get the Bluesy and enjoy its stunning good looks. There is no rule that you cannot have two watches with similar colour dials.
However if it is either one or the other, I’d go Bluesy all day long

Hope i can help you by sharing my experience .

Owned bluessy a few years ago, fell in love with the color first time i saw it.
Great watch and certainly eye catching but sometimes it can be a little too much. Im always in casual clothing, my outfit is never bold or too bright of a color. After a few month of wearing it i felt like the watch have too much of a bling with the combination of steel, gold, blue dial and bezel that make me feel like the watch isnt best suited for me. Its certainly a great watch just not inline with myself.

My feelings as well. Buesy looks so good in the case, but the wearing experience can be a little different. It has a lot of flash and an 80's vibe to it IMO. I'd stick with the DJ. Great combo with your GMT

Well, with LV you would get another black-dialed watch with a colored bezel like the BLNR. So either choice means two watches with similar dials, either blue or black. If you love blue, I say add the Bluesy!

Disclaimer: I have had a version of the Bluesy in my collection almost continuously since 2017 . . . it has always sung to me (like it is to you now) and is the most beautiful watch I own!

Both are completely different watches.
DJ can be the perfect dress watch, Bluesy is loud and bling.
Also the blue on both is much different.

Give it some time, and if you are still thinking about it after that, then you know what it is.

For a compromise I would suggest the DJ II, dressy but really a sports watch.

Thanks guys for all opinions.

Yes, agree, DJ41 and Sub are very different watches but my personal outfit style is always casual.

Will have to give it some time and decide. But the more I look at all pictures, the more I want it. Because Bluesy is cca. 5k more expensive I think I will need to trade DJ41 if I will want the Bluesy...

Guys, I have decided that I will keep Datejust as I love it.
So now, what do you think it’s better to add to the current collection, Bluesy or Starbucks?

Thanks!

Starbucks. Hands down. You don’t need 3 blue watches. Brushed oyster band also gives it a great contrast to your Blnr and DJ.

Which do you prefer? I'd take the 13LB in a heartbeat but I'm not you. You can't lose either way but it's your choice.

Bluesy for me. Much more interesting and fun to wear than the black dial LV. The dial in the Bluesy is something else.

I have several of the so called “collectible / highly sought after” Rolex offerings, and a DJ(s), and a “Bluesy” … the Bluesy is my favorite watch in my collection.

Go forward with that same sense of enjoyment, that you felt the first time you saw the Bluesy … it does not fade.

I'd get the TT Blue Sub. It really is a spectacular watch. I would 100% still own mine if I didn't get the WG Sub.

Both are awesome but I can’t get over how cool the Bluesy is. It’s like it has multiple personalities.

I find myself looking down at it to see what mood it’s in.

Starbucks by a country mile! I don’t like TT, so that’s part of it, but also the SS Sub is the most iconic Rolex in the world!

I am wearing my LV as I type this, I think the LV by a mile. I am on record in many posts saying that no matter which watch it is I am not a fan of TT, just not my cup of tea. Good luck with your decision.

Once you have tried on / seen the Bluesey in person you are DONE.

To me that is one of the most special and beautiful watches Rolex makes. The sunburst blue dial combined with the gold accents is epic. Its a very bling bling watch so if you are trying to be low key its the wrong move but otherwise its spectacular. LV is more of a hype piece.

I'm not quiet at the level of adding the Blusey to my small collection but it is on my radar. I have to stop trying it on. Urgh.

Hi guys, an update… I have decided and I will get 126610LV next week. As I want a three watch collection, I still don’t know if I would replace DJ41 with Bluesy or no.

So, what do you think, what will be better for three watch collection:
1) 126710BLNR, 126610LV and DJ41 (blue dial) or
2) 126710BLNR, 126610LV and Bluesy

I like DJ41 and Bluesy the same, that’s why I can’t decide.

Thanks in advance :)
