Rose Gold Skydweller Offer

Just to be clear, this watch is for my father. We were just offered the rose gold skydweller with the slate dial but turned it down. Waiting for the chocolate dial. Personally, I like the slate since it’s a neutral color and a nice contrast with the rose gold. My dad fell in love with the chocolate dial after watching some videos so was insistent on the chocolate dial. We have not seen any of them in person.

Not sure if we made a mistake, but hopefully the AD calls back with the chocolate dial at some point for his upcoming birthday.

Oh they will call. The higher end pieces are not really moving fast anymore. And I agree re slate dial. Love that combo

The slate dial is my favorite! Having said that, I think they will call you soon. I declined a YG day date 40 after thinking that’s what I wanted but realized it looked horrible when I tried it on. About 3 weeks later, AD called me back with RG day date 40 with olive dial which I bought without hesitation.

I hope the dial your father prefers shows up soon

I love my Chocolate 935. Well worth the wait. Hopefully you get the call for your Dad in time. I dont know what the ratio is between the Slate and Chocolate from Rolex but you definitely see more of the Slates out there than the Chocolate.

Good luck! I'm sure your time is coming

Rose gold and chocolate is definitely the way to go. Plus diamonds too. This is my new watch from earlier this week.

Does anyone have an actual photo of a side by side comparison of both dials?

I probably would have a slight preference for the slate dial, but agree with your dad - in that range, I wouldn't compromise.

I will tell you with all Rolex Chocolate dials they can look quite different depending on the angle and sun. I’m wearing my 715 today or else I’d show you a few more dial shots. This is an older pic. Its nowhere near as clean as in this pic. I wear it a good bit alternating between the 2 below and my 515. As you can probably tell I'm a massive RG fanatic!

I've tried on a full RG one with the chocolate dial. It was gorgeous and the dial went with the RG beautifully. I prefer the slate dial and wouldn't consider the chocolate dial, but I can see why it would be attractive to many.

Really sharp with the chocolate dial. I bought mine with the ivory dial, I think those are the two best with RG.

With the Oysterflex strap the Slate dial works perfectly with the Everose Skydweller……and I had one last year……but if it’s on the Everose Oyster bracelet it really needs to be the Chocolate dial as it looks so right in the flesh.

But I’m certainly interested in seeing the new Blue/Green dial on the new Everose Skydweller which looks awesome

That's gorgeous, Victor!

I think for the kind of money that you will be spending, there should be no compromise.

I saw the Rhodium dial in person, it was gorgeous!

I now think it's my number 2 favorite, behind the new rose gold blue/green dial.

We shall see.

After seeing these photos, both the chocolate and slate dial are beautiful! Can’t go wrong with either.

You’ve already said your Dad fell in love w/the chocolate dial and was insistent upon that model. You asked did WE make a mistake; not did your Dad. As its been said here, the heart knows what the heart wants. Give good ole Dad his 1st choice.

Haha, you are so right! Subconsciously, I was hoping he went with the Slate which was what he originally wanted. Let’s now hope the call comes soon for the chocolate dial!

trust me on this: never settle. it'll always eat at you

in an alternate universe, if your dad had seen them both in the metal at the same time, maybe he'd have chosen chocolate, or maybe he'd have chosen slate. doesn't matter, we'll never know

in his mind, he wants chocolate, so chocolate it must be

The rose gold/slate dial SkyDweller is one of my favorites. Unreal in person.
