Is the Gold Rolex Daytona with Green Dial Worth It?

I love this 116508 watch, but I am having a hard time pulling the trigger. I usually don't see them for sale too often. Should I get it? Thoughts?

I still don't get the hype on this model.
Not so long ago PM Daytonas were selling with discounts

It’s a beautiful watch, IMHO. But, if you’re going pay that much for a Daytona, I’d add a bit and get a Platona, instead. Much more watch for the money. If YG is your preference, however, and you’ll wear and enjoy the green dial, go for it! I suspect they’re not going to get any cheaper, at least for a while if at all.

If you have to ask us then it’s clearly not worth it to you.

This is the principle I apply to myself and anyone who has to ask.

If it's not an incoming announcement, it's either too expensive or it's not desired enough. Probably.

I see them selling quite regularly. Just make an offer, maybe they will say yes to it. If you like it and you have the money why wouldn’t you buy it then?

No longer on the Rolex web site so the prices are up. Secondary market will decide the price. Not for me at that price.

Definitely not, a true high horology piece from the likes of PP and AP can be bought for that sort of money, it’s a BMW for a Rolls Royce price!

I like green dial Rolex, and I like Daytonas, that isn’t a Daytona I’d buy though

Nice watch in a larger collection but I would not pay current asking for the watch. So many other pieces I would rather have.

Colour scheme really works for me I think it’s lovely, green with gold just goes so well together, but the price is not for me, but if you can afford then go for it .. YOLO.
