There is no punishment severe enough for a savage like that.

Even more disturbing since it's just an hour away from where I live!

I hope he enjoys his stay in prison

A sexual predator. I hope he goes to prison and never gets out. This woman is likely going to need a lot of help, therapy and love.

Since the stepfather is a 'long time suspect' I wonder if the authorities will apologize to him for the hell he has very likely been put through. This is a rhetorical question, since you know they are always right.

Very sad.

What a horrible way to spend 18 years of your life, having once lived in the area it can get downright cold, below freezing during parts of the year. I can only hope that the authorities learn something from this so situations such as this can be avoided in the future.

As far as the creep who did this, personally I think he should castrated with no pain killer or antibiotics and be severely tortured for the next 18 years of his life.

well, he and his wife are the worst, and they deserve the worst. however, we are a nation of laws, and we have a Constitution that prohibits cruel and unusal punishments, and I think that is a positive good for us all, even though slimy bastards like this guy and his wife are protected. in this way we don't turn into the very people we despise.
not a popular position, i realize, but it's one i believe in......however, there is absolutey nothing to prevent this guy and his wife from being locked away in a maximum security prison for the rest of their miserable lives; alternatively, i don't think killing someone before they reach the judicial system is right either. vigilantism in a country where we have laws and courts to punish is never justified ......just my view.
