How you REALLY know…

Seeing that we are in the full blown holiday season I think I figured something out….

How do you REALLY know you bought the correct watch? As we all know alcohol is basically truth serum. Drink a couple of your favorite libation. Get that nice buzz, that nice glow. Then look at your wrist and what do you wish you saw? Whatever that is, buy THAT watch. In my opinion that is a great test to decide what you really want. Cheers!

I know I bought the correct watch (Smurf) when I couldn't stop thinking about buying it over the course of 2 deployments. When I finally got it, I had to close my home office door because I was in awe of what I was holding. Dutiful savings & hyperfocus leads to great things.

As long as you don’t get caught up in impulse purchases, you’ll only have what you truly want.

I love each of my watches :)

My two most-worn watches were bought on (sober) impulse from AD displays while on vacation five and nine years ago.

I think this is a great idea! Going to try it with some bourbon and a cigar soon!

Huh.. never thought to do that. I suppose you are making the argument that watches are not purely cerebral, but rather appeal to the side of emotion. I certainly subscribe to that sort of thinking.

I think I'll have a glass of some single malt "truth" serum and give it a go ~ Cheers!

well, I went in to seal the deal on a polar explorer pledged to me, who I jilted at the altar and ran off with a milgauss & we've been together ever since.
