One of my best friends works for a large company that supplies WalMart. WalMart had been one of the largest drivers for the adoption of RFID.
Based on extensive testing that revealed the technology was far too prone to failure and error, WalMart has backed away from its aggressive adoption plans. If a company like WalMart can't push the technology hard enough to make it work, chances are no other industries should be running their palms along this kind of bleeding edge |
