Bracelet 9290/8 Submariner

First of all, I want to say hi and Happy New Year to all. I miss you all. Saying I have been busy is an understatement. I literally have no time for anything anymore.
I am so happy and thrilled to say that I acquired a 9290/8 Bracelet. It’s not in the best condition, so I sent it out to Michael Young to get worked on as it is in need of repairs. I have been on the hunt for one of these bracelets for as long as I can remember. I have made offers on these in the past but they were actually never up for sale and no one was willing to part for obvious reasons.
Once the restoration is complete I plan on getting a 1680 head in the future to marry them. Enjoy and happy hunting.

I am super stoked as this bracelet here is from 1969. I believe this is the first year the Gold Submariner came out, so it’s a little piece of history

Very nice project! Those clasps with the crown logo and fliplock together with the old "SEL-style" ELs is soo nice.
Congrats.

I'm in the reverse cycle as I "finally" found the a great very early 1680/8 and now I have to go down the deep rabbit hole of looking for an early 6290/8 bracelet! How did the bracelet turn out? It would be great to see an after picture!
