Breitling Bezel

Hi guys, so I newly acquired a love of watches. I liked watches when I was younger but just didn’t care for them until now. I am pretty novice when it comes to timepieces but I’m getting there. Anyways excuse my inexperience if I say something incorrectly.

So anyways, I recently purchased a used Breitling Navi A23322. And I had no ideas that you could spin the bezel. I showed it to my friend and he had trouble turning it. My question is, is there a way to maybe loosen it up a bit? I was told it shouldn’t be so hard as to where you had to take the watch off your wrist and use two hands to turn it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Put some sort of lubricant like silicone spray under the bezel. Lots of body grease and gunk can build up in there.

Try cleaning with dental floss first. Good luck and nice watch!

Clean the bezel first with a toothbrush, mild soap or detergent, lukewarm water, and a soft, lint-free cloth. Pay close attention to any dirt, grime, or residue that may have accumulated in the bezel's crevices or markings after that you can spin the bezel.

Be careful with spraying stuff under the bezel. That’s the area responsible for the Navi’s poor water resistance. You could end up staining your dial, rehaut, etc. Try gentle brushing with a wet toothbrush, cleaning carefully under the bezel with a thin toothpick and sliding floss underneath as much as you can. It’s possible the bezel may have to be removed and cleaned properly and thoroughly.
