Rolex Travel Case

It looks like a lot of you travel only with a single Rolex. Those that do travel with more than one, what travel case do you use. The Orbita roll case looks interesting but apparently does work well with Rolex bands set to less than 7" wrists.

I just use a travel pouch. Small, so it fits easily into my briefcase or pocket and provides good protection.

Not everyone spends a sum on watches that equals out to a really nice car...or a really small house...
Really great collection! I like that case.

I use a Rolex green suede travel pouch st the moment. The bracelet and case back are separated by a "divider" as not to scratch the case back.

Will be buying a couple of Oakely Vaults when they're back in stock in the U.k though. They look great.

Are those green suede Rolex snap pouches the one that the RSC's used to send back with your services Rolex? I have one at the Dallas RSC and am curious what it will come back in.

They are the ones you win here on the forum if you're lucky.

Is winning the pouch on this forum the only place to get the Rolex Pouch, or can you get them from a Rolex RSC or an AD as well? Also, is there a charge for them?

Oakley 07-233 Small Watch Soft Vault. $20 from Amazon. This is the best watch case I've seen. It is perfect for traveling with, or storing, any kind of watch on a bracelet versus a strap. Here's why:

o I don't like the bracelet to touch the caseback, as it will when the watch is in a "flat" case. This travel case is perfect -- it has an indentation in the bottom "cup" that is shaped to hold the bracelet in place.

o The size is perfect -- your watch is secure and won't move around. A 40mm Rolex Sub / GMT or 42mm Omega SMP fit like a glove. A 36mm Rolex DJ fits well also with just a shade of slack.

o The case is firm but not hard . . . the textured exterior has a little bit of "give". Yet it is not squishable. It's just right.

o Very nice quality.

o The soft lining protects the finish of your watch.

Buy a bunch of 'em. Best 20 bucks you'll spend on your expensive watches.

Cheers,

Dave

Another vote for the Oakley Vault. I've traveled with the Vault for my Sub C and it fits perfectly inside, and slips easily into my briefcase.
