Wanna get this 16610 v serial

Hello everyone, I recently got an offer for an 08’ sub 16610 T, it’s a naked watch. I always had the idea that it’s the perfect blend of a modern Rolex with a “vintage feel” bc it has hollow centre links. I wanna take a decision soon.

Any opinion of any kind is welcomed, thank you guys, I’ll update you all if I make a decision.

Looks very possibly unpolished! Great piece! What's the asking? Also, is this coming as a full-set?

The only thing that bothers me is what appears to be a few gouges on the lower right lug. Otherwise nicely cared for :)

The watch has never been polished, just one owner since 08 and he took good care of it. It’s naked so no papers, it has 11 links. Asking 9.5 USD, what do you think? And about the lower lug there’s a small dent, I don’t mind tho it’s a tool watch.

I already have a two tone super case sub but this pre ceramic one has nostalgic feel to it.

Nice watch, but not for me at that price. That's high in todays' market. I wouldn't pay more than 8K for it - I'm a 5 digit collector (for reference).

To be perfectly honest, this should be in the mid 7's.

I also thought 9.5 is way too high, I’m gonna offer 7 and see how good we go. This would be my first 5 digit after a gmt coke I had a few years ago that I had to let go. Let’s see how this one looks in my collection if everything goes well. I’ll let you know if I get it.

Good luck mate! Nice piece, otherwise! Just needs to come down to earth price-wise.

To be honest, if my ask was $9500 for that watch, I wouldn’t consider $7000. One thing to keep in mind, I believe a V serial watch was the end of production for the 16610 and that adds value. It’s not as clean as I’ve seen, but it’s not bad.

The V serial for the 16610 was around 2009. Subsequent to the V, the G serial was produced and eventually a few random serial 16610's came out parallel to the G.

I recall selling a bnib G serial to a sports radio host in the Philly area and he was very happy to get a bnib one. I had a random serial in my collection with an open warranty card just as the 116610 was coming out. Wish I had kept that damn random serial 16610. Very few were produced.

Congrats on your new watch. Wear it in the best of health!

UPDATE:

Thank you all for your support. After negotiating for a couple of seconds, we agreed less than 8k and now the watch is with me. I tried to be 100% honest with him and to let him know that the watch wasn’t going to sell anywhere near to his ideal budget.

Im very happy
