Nice Reverse Duomo scene -
If possible, try to go across the River Arno, walk up the San Miniato Hill and take some breathtaking pictures of the city and the Duomo (and of your Sub too)…….

That's across the river from my hotel. I'll do that tomorrow. Thanks for the pro-tip!

Piazzale Michaelangelo I belive it’s called. Sorry no watch in the picture I was too captivated by the view. My tag would have just spoiled this view tho.
I was In florence In April. What an amazing city.

Went up there two years ago when we were there for 3 nights. Fantastic views of a fantastic city.

Time before that I was there in 2015 and got 10% off a non date sub in the AD on Ponte Vecchio - lovely family business and gave me a huge book of their history and the bridges.

Was £4,000 if I recall correctly.

You’re making me proud!

If you’re still in Florence tomorrow, and you haven’t gone to the Leather Goods District (right near the big food Mercato) - you would be well advised to go there and buy a bunch of great belts and real leather jackets, shearlings and other fine goods - my last trip there I saved so much money on the shearling coat (paid $650 vs. $7000 at Bergdorfs) that it literally paid for my airfare and hotel…

Did you shoot a man whilst you were there? Just to watch him die?

Clearly. I live 45 minutes from Reno. It's been a rat hole for the almost 50 years I've lived nearby. As my old boss was fond of saying, "You can't polish a turd."

You'll get no argument from me on this pronouncement. Florence may well be my most favorite city in the world.

My favourite place in the world.

I shall be retiring to a farmhouse just 30 mins from there, soon I hope.

Spent 10 days in Firenze when I was 18 and I will always remember the wonderful little things that make the city great. The right size. So much culture. Hard not to like it.

Grab an espresso from Caffè del Teatro Niccolini and then stop by the Panerai boutique in Piazza San Giovanni, it’s a beautiful store.

Buon Viaggio!
