Trade question Daytona for pp 5227R

Looking to get opinions on doing a trade - 2016 Daytona 116520 steel black dial for a PP 5227R.

Any other dress watches that you would recommend i.e. like Lange 1?

Big fan of the 5227 and its hunters case. For Lange I’d look at the 1815 Up/Down. If you bought the Daytona at msrp and are trading it one to one for a 5227, you are doing well. I’d miss the Daytona, though.

Just traded in a Datejust for a Lange Saxonia Thin!

Holy cow this watch is stunning… even in it’s simplicity

It is a very nice dress watch. I am also looking at the 1815 up and down and that looks very nice too.

I did not think of the 1815 up and down before. It is a very nice dress watch.

The 5227r is the epitome of dress watch elegance, as is the Lange above, not to mention its simplicity; however, you’ll be giving up some versatility by trading out of the Daytona.

I know a Lloyds broker who has a Calatrava, wears it almost every day, he says when he bought it, it was his declaration,”I’m a dress watch guy”.

For the daytona black dial pre ceramic I have to focus a little bit to read the time as the dial is busy and legibility is not the best. I want to trade this in to get a dress watch. The PP 5227R for me looks very similar to the Longines L4.984.4.79.2 dress watch. I assume the PP 5227R finishing is very nice to look at given the price point.

I have never thought about Lange until recently. How does it compare to Patek?
