What’s next!
After years of collecting and exchanging many different brands, I end up keeping these threesome. However, something in me want another more valuable watch and I am torn between DD, AP RO, or just keep saving and get Patek 5711 but prices of this watch is buying ridiculous even with massive nosedive in value since peak of 2022. What would you get next for your collection?

These 3 watches show you have pretty standard tastes.
Just save up and get the nautilus. I have friends who are $250k-1m into their relationship at dealers who have not yet been allocated a 5811. Some other complication or bracelet nautilus seem to be easier though. I don't think getting a DD or RO will get you to stop wanting a nautilus. I don't think getting a nautilus will stop you from getting an RO either. So maybe APRO the best stop gap. |

Telling the Submariner to fund an APRO isn't a bad move. In my eyes, the Submariner & the GMT-II wear very similarly (same case & bracelet, just different caseback & no Glidelock).

I’m in the same boat in wanting a 5711 but I too couldn’t bring myself to pay the premium for a SS watch like that. I’d much prefer paying a reasonable price for a PP dress watch in RG or YG.
Based on your interests, I’d get the DD and wouldn’t look back… |

You couldn't take off the bezel protectors for the picture? Are you trying to protect the carry case from the ceramic ruining the lining? lol.
I'd go AP... I've been thinking of getting "on the list" but afraid it would just be a waste of time. |

I will remember to take off the plastic cover next time I would love to buy AP or PP at authorized dealers but Hawaii doesn’t have any AD location. I have serious thought of just buying a DD at Rolex because all my watches are under my name. It does mean something to me and the big 50 is coming soon hence a master piece would be nice to have. I would get a DD or AP RO. But don't sacrifice anything in the collection.

I would keep what you have and add a DD. So many choices in metal, size and dial color. They are also very robust and can basically do it all. That would be a very nice four watch collection.

If you want variety…get a PP, AP of your choice. Sticking with Rolex, I’d definitely go DD40

I bought my YG (white romans) DD40 for myself for my 50th
I think it was a great gift. I really love it. Luckily the Nautilus does nothing for me, I had a 5712 for a short time... It's a scratch magnet and I just don't find it appealing. There are a few PP that I really love but they are all strap watches and I just never have found a watch on a strap comfortable or something Ive held on to. The AP 16202, now that is another story! I seriously want one but AP doesn't find me worthy as 2 of my APs were bought pre owned and the other was handed down to me from my father. I get supply and demand but just can't bring myself to pay that big of a premium. Which AP is it you are looking at?

In all honesty I wouldn’t get anything else. You’ve got 3 great watches maybe leave it at that

If you want to keep all three SS watches, then I would look at a classic 36 mm YG DD with white or champagne dial. Or if your budget allows and you want brand diversity, then a YG RO.

I have small wrist and 36mm fit me like a glove, this is a very good advise to save a bit and add yellow gold 36mm DD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I went from a bunch of Day Dates and an AP to (1) Patek and (1) Day Date
I hated how the AP wore, almost like a bracelet cuff. Patek makes you forget about the Rolex's for the most part.

Look like you already have my 2 grails. The SS Rolex are easy to dress down and daily use. I can’t see myself wearing PP or DD as daily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
