Is RSC service cost reduced if you do not have polish completed?

I saw a reddit post (for NYC RSC) that shows $150 credit for no polish. I wonder if they only give this credit for the more complicated services or watches.

Has anyone else had this credit applied for service at Dallas RSC? I guess I should call and ask, but may as well crowd source and call when they send their estimate.

My AD sent my Daytona to be serviced by Dallas RSC.
$150 savings without polish and you get it much sooner.
A significant portion of the lead time is due to polishing.

Same on my 114060.

I hadn’t thought about the lead time, but makes sense. I hit mine back in 3 weeks.

Interesting that the crystal was described as “not manufactured by Rolex”.

Same $150.00 for the Tudor case polish as well from RSC.

Yes. My UK AD put a note on the watch in addition to "no refurb" saying crystal OK do not replace. Apparently the UK RSCs tend to change the crystal first and examine it later!

Had my 16710 serviced at the in boutique Rolex service center at Gearys last year. Price was the same with out polish as with polish.

Pardon the ignorance, but are there locations where a watch will be serviced on site and not sent to a service center - in larger ADs with a "certified" watchmaker on premise?

I've always wondered if you can have the brushed areas re-brushed but not the flats polished... Probably not at RSC. They tend to be all or nothing.

I always thought the RSC ‘Polish’ was complimentary refinishing. I’m sure a number of GMT’s I’ve put through RSC stated it was complimentary. In the U.K.

Yes, basically a no-cost delete option. That's what we tend to get in the UK.

My service was less without the polish. IIRC about £150 less.

For me, that $150 credit for no polish sounds like a sweet deal.
