Would You Sell Your First Rolex?

I've thought about this a lot. My first Rolex is special. It's an accomplishment in life. It's important. What about you guys/girls? Would you part with your first Rolex? If you did, do you regret it?

I wanted to and put the money towards and LV, but I decided I would have to be stupid to sell it. I still plan on buying that LV though.

For me, my first is a symbol of what I can achieve if I put my mind to it, so no I'd never part with it.

No way either.....in fact I never buy to sell in the future....I am not saying I wouldn't sell a watch if I really had to to make ends meet......but the first one....nah....I just couldn't bring myself to.....it's never let me down so why should I let it down....

My first was a gift from an Ex Girlfriend. At the end of the day when we broke up I felt that I could and should not keep it. She did not want it back, so I sold it and donated the money. 1/2 to the Make a Wish Foundation and 1/2 to a local children's hospital.

No. A lifelong dream to own one - no way it's getting sold. I might just have it on my wrist in the casket!

My first rolex was a stainless Date model, purchased from a dealer when I was 22. I wore it for 20 years, never had a problem with it. I wore it in the ocean, not realizing the crown was unscrewed, and it was flooded. I couldn't find any jewelry stores that I wanted to leave it with, so had to wait until I got back home. After sending it off to see what could be done, they told me it would cost $900 to redo it. The watch originally cost me $500 (back in 1982), so I let it go and just bought another Rolex. I hate I lost that watch, looking back. I've had about 7 Rolexes over the years, but that one, for some reason, just felt the best.

Sold my first one, don't regret it at all, primarily because it didn't really mark an important event in my life or carry any real significance.
