Large SWISS MADE text in place of minute markers (29 and 31)
Hi, this is my first post on the RF. I've been lurking around this place for some time and enjoy many of the great posts - and of course great watches!
My question for the forum is whether your Submariner, Subdate or LV carries the large SWISS MADE font type where there are no 29 and 31 minute markers. I have seen various serial SeaDwellers over the years that carried this dial, but yet a Submariner. Is this unique to the SD? Here's some others from my humble collection: Thanks for the replies! Cheers, |

My SD also has the SWISS MADE and the missing 29 and 31 markers you speak of. I have also seen the SD dial with the more common smaller SWISS MADE including the 29 and 31 markers on lots of Watches. But, I've never seen the missing 29 and 31 dials on any of the other Rolex Oysters. Perhaps others have, though.

My M series SD looks just like that, shorter markers for 28, 29, 31, 32 and a full size 30 marker between Swiss and Made. In my Z Sub however the Swiss Made is above shorter 29, 30, 31 markers.
I hadn't looked closely at this until now . . . interesting the various permutations within a short span on years. I wonder if this is due to some kind of production considerations or if it's an intentional thing to trip up counterfeiters? |

That are several variations. sometimes the swiss made spans over 5 ticks sometimes 3 ticks and the 29 and 31 are occasionally missing like yours.
