I finally got my first Rolex!!

For the people who are on WUS, this is something they must already know but I was unable to open this forum yesterday so I am a bit late for posting it here.
Also a big THANK YOU to Singslinger!! You really helped me a lot in my quest

I finally have it! It still feels like a dream though and if it is, I hope I never wake up . Got this beauty from Singapore on Saturday but didnt have the pics to start a new thread so I though I'll wait till I get back home. Its a Y series with drilled lug holes and although it might be a lil tough to make out from the pics, the watch is in an excellent condition . Singapore was awesome and I was blown away by the number of watch shops I saw. Most of them have Pateks, VC and AP. And the women!!......well, I'll have to start a new thread about that ;)

And a shot with my brother's Omega:

Glad to be able to help a fellow TRF member and congrats on a fine purchase!

Did you get it from JW Watch, as planned?

Yup! I loved that place and the lady there was very sweet to talk to. I got an extra link and got the accuracy tested at no extra cost. I managed to get a lil discount plus the GST was refunded at the airport :)
I checked out Peng Kwee too but like everyone said, its a lil expensive. I LOVED that big Rolex building on Orchard Road :)

Glad to hear it. Yes, Peng Kwee is more expensive - though they focus almost exclusively on Rolex and employ some pretty foxy women as sales staff! Anyway, congrats again and wear it in good health!

Congratulations! That one is a super Classic, and is fast becoming one of my very favourites. And why? Because it has no date window! I think it is one of the only Divers watches, that has a plain dial like that with no complications. Is it a 40mm model? I bet it is super comfortable.
I love the GMT as well, but if only it did not have the date with the big Cyclops window! However, I don't want to run down Rolex, on the other hand they are the only watch maker to have such a great selection of models that actually have no date. And I do appreciate that!
Love that watch! Looks perfect on your wrist! Love the symmetry of that dial!
Cheers,
Carl
