Who Wears Bracelet "Loose" or Snug Above Wrist?
I recently had my GMTIIc bracelet resized for the third time since Oct. 22. It just appeared that I could not get the bracelet to fit just a tad loose at the base of my wrist. This last resizing I decided to try snugging it up so the watch will stay put just above the bone above the wrist.
It is my understanding that this is the "proper" way to wear a watch especially if you wear it on the left arm. I always end up with a "permanent dent" on the back of my hand from the crown but I wore watches in this manner for 20 years. So far it has simply been a matter of adjusting to the feel of the bracelet being snug however when I put it on in the morning my arm is "smaller" and the bracelet is loosE but I believe that after 20 years I finally wear my watch the right way! Do most people wear the watch snugly above the "wrist bone"? I understand that it is personal preference. Wonder Why Rolex Does Not Make A Left Handed Model! |

I wear my Sea Dweller snug just above the wrist bone, i found that because the Sd case is rather heavy and tends to shift around alot if worn a little loose. My daytona case is not quite at heavy and i wear it a tad looser but still feels comfortable if it drops down a little.
I've also worn it on the right arm for over 20yrs now. |

When sporting a bracelet I wear it so it's snug when worn down past the wrist bone and a bit looser when worn above the wrist bone when swelling occurs.

My wife like it loose so that it rests on her wrist.
I like mine snug so it stays on my forearm under the shirt-cuff. Most people I see (including myself) wear wirstwatches on their forearms... the forearmarm goes all the way to the wristbone. The wrist is the area between the wristbone and the knuckles.

I find that a relaxed position is best for me, mainly because if its to snug when I get hot it tends to feel to tight and uncomfortable.

Like it a bit loose, right at the end of my wrist.
What's wrong with wearing on the right wrist? Cheers, Carl

I like the bracelet a little loose so the watch can move a little, I don't like it if a watch feels "stuck" on my wrist.

I wear it just above the wrist bone on the forearm. I like it a tad loose so that it can move slightly up and down my forearm, but not twist side to side. I find wearing a watch on or below the wristy bone to be uncomfortable. My GMT 2C fits extremely well- the most comfortable watch I own as it meets all of the above criteria.

Wearing for comfort...
I wear my GMT-II on the loose side just cause I just don't like that tight feeling as the day goes on, yet not so loose it turns..

I wear mine so that it is as loose as it can be and not easily slip below my wrist bone, the DSSD I tend to wear a bit tighter.

Wrist bone..with the ability to slip a pinkie under the clasp.
Now that I know how to adjust the clasp with a toothpick - Thanks to Larry - I have some flexibility when it gets hot! |

I keep mine loose enough that it doesn't leave a mark on my wrist, but not so loose that the crown hits my hand. I don't need it falling out of my shirt cuff saying "Look at me I'm wearing a (insert high end watch here)" Seems like i'd be trying to be a little to bling bling that way. hahah

I wear mine about 3/4" - 1" from the wristbone and loose enough so that I can slip a finger under the bracelet.

If you can do this to any of your watches, the fit is correct!!

Remember, when you tuck your index finger between the wrist and bracelet like I've done, you are also compressing some of the flesh around the wrist-bone. That there above is just a benchmark way of establishing a comfortable fit - not too loose and not too tight. JJ
