No way that the Sub ND is the most under appreciated watch, that is most likely the Airking or the EXP 1. Both of which I think are very cool.

I would have to agree with you. Personally, I just feel something is missing without the date. However, I noticed this Rolex has many, many fans. I am just not one of them.

TURN-O-GRAPH in the SS/WG iteration, EXP and Air King are the understated gems in the ROLEX lineup.

That's a good call.

The 14060 has plenty of love and respect in the WIS world yet the OP Date/ND get's precious little attention even though it's a fine watch indeed.

I would have to say the Cellini, followed closely by Air King models. At some point, I would love to have a gold dress watch. From what I see on the Rolex website, the Cellini models are just as fine as a lot of other watches out there, and at not too bad a price for some of them. I think it's a bit sad really that they don't get more attention. Could it be because they are too "un-Rolex".
I think the Air King is an amazing watch. And they have dials to suit just about everyone. They also look great dressed up with a white gold fluted bezel. They are really very unique in that they have a smaller size at 34mm, they have no date, and they have an inhouse movement. I can think of no other watch manufacturer that has this much selection in this type and size of model. Omega, for example, in it's entire lineup has one: The Railmaster. It is 36mm, not an inhouse movement, though, and is available in only one dial. It does not have a calendar, and is beautiful in it's simplicity. But that is only one model in the entire lineup. Rolex literally has dozens of combinations.

This watch is actually very beautiful and accurate too...congrats

I think alot of buyers have neglected models such as the airking because it's human nature to not want the lower range models, thinking that it's not that good. However Akira's choice was actually a good one. Very smart marketing from Rolex to get us to pay more money, when models like the airking perform equally as well.

Yachtmaster II , I have been doing a bit of reading on it lately . The mouvement is quite impressive . I agree the YG version is hideous , I could live with the WG version but the price tag on them is a no go for me . But , if they would bring out a SS version and keep it around the 10K US I might have one . I do not even own a dingy let a lone the yacht , but I do cook pasta quite often . I guess that would justify having one , no ?

Yes I often buy watches based on how they match up with what I am planning on cooking, reading, watching, and doing period.

Man it appears as it is time to get another watch.
