I think the 16613 always had SEL, not 100% sure though. So anything before that did not have the SEL.

Well the 16613 was first introduced in 1983,and around 1998/9
the SEL was introduced.

But the SD 16600 was introduced with SEL and for some reason I believe the same for the 16618, so I thought the same for the 16613. SEL was integrated into the entire lineup starting around 2000/1, of course there is no exact timeline for this.

The SD has always had a SELs (at least through the 90s) but the 16613 did not get SELs until much later - don't recall the year. My 1994 16613 did not have SELs. Why it took Rolex so long to do the update is anyone's guess.
