Is this a reasonable price for a YM??
I found a YM 16623 Blue late production Z serial for $6395 on bernardwatch.com's website. Described as "Like New" and pictures seem it. Originally bought in Virgin Islands at an AD. 30 day warranty. Is this a reasonable price?
One poster suggest asking what is the lowest they would take... and I got an e-mail back from Bernard watch saying (in short) that is the lowest. I was sorta hoping to have a YM on my wrist by Jan 7. A search on this site has only positive experiences with Bernard Watch Co. I saw nothing negative. Soooo should I do the $6395 Other option is swissluxury.com for a new grey market for $8100. Or let my deadline pass and hope a TRF member lists something within the specs and price I am looking for. Watcha Think Last edited by Evan614; 31 December 2009 at 09:48 AM.. Reason: i had a link to the page which could be against rules??? |

I've communicated with Jeff Bernard several times on watch deals...
Understand a few elements about Bernards -
1) They have employees who, quite reasonably, expect to get paid every week, 2) have an ENORMOUS monthly cost in advertising, 3) Have a brick and mortar building which eats heat, A/C, phone, rent, etc. SO - any watch they sell has some portion of those costs built into the price, and any watch they buy or trade is discounted enough to cover those costs. The price they are asking is fair, but can be beat by $200-400 by spending 2 weeks searching. The reason they thrive is that most people would rather pay $400 more than spend 2-3 weeks looking for a better deal. And thus they pay the rent. Your call. All of Jeff's prices are "fair", in the terms described above.

I just bought a two tone brand new YM for $6,000. I got it so cheap because the jeweler is no longer an AD and so they discounted it from $10,300 to $6,000. So, if yours is a two tone, then your price, I think is good. I would not search for the lowest price. What difference does a few hundred dollars make. Instead by from a reliable seller.
Here is mine
