Rouder's are OK...according to this guy....
Figured you guys would get a kick out of this.......Putting Rolex on a Tudor dial is just like putting an extra Lexus emblem on your Lexus!!!

Sounds like the idiot has had way to much medication. spiked egg nog or they are running scared of TRF troopers who seek out and expose Tulex fakes.

I read his missive and find it quite misleading and non-factual. It stands that a Tudor is not a Rolex model of watch, but a complete separate watch brand owned and manufactured by Rolex. It doesn't matter if it was 1945 or anywhere in between that and 1999, the facts are the facts. They carry completely different serial numbers than a Rolex. If they were in fact a distinct Rolex model, why weren't they just marketed as a Rolex? Many companies manufacturer similar products under different brand names. A Toyota is not a Lexus, a Jaguar is not a Ford and a Tudor is not a Rolex. All of these examples contained parts manufactured or branded with the parent companies logo, but it doesn't change the fact that they are what they are.
Whoever wrote this article is obviously in it for himself. His summation that because the early, pre-1999 Tudors contained Rolex markings may have these early dials refinished with the Rolex coronet or name is illogical and moronic. This is just another fine example of the con-artists on ebay.

You do realize that the blurb by zitajewelry001 "How to Authentic a Rolex Tudor With Refinished Dial" referred to here is a copy and paste from this listing?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Rare-Rol...item3ca8ccfd98 from pencapadvertising, and discussed ad nauseum here http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...highlight=yarn

Wow, knew I could count on you guys....I love the $800 winning bid on the "Authentic Rolex - Tudor"
In the Q&A's the seller is telling someone to go have it serviced by Rolex....what do you think they would do with a re-dialed watch like that??

I enjoy learning on the TRF and giving out information when I know I have the facts and when I am wrong I am the first to admit I screwed up!
