bracelet stretch
have a U series GMTII TT that has been my daily wear for the past 10 years. Of course it now has some bracelet stretch and from comparison with photos on TRF it seems to have less than some other similar vintage Rolexes.
So here's a question. It seems that the gold plated middle link that attaches to the spring bars has more stretch to it than other links. My question is does it make sense to replace the end link and/or just the middle gold plated link that attaches to the spring bars? Will this substanially tighten up the bracelet? I love the GMT TT and have just gotten a k series Daytona TT as a marker of being in business for 20 years. My comparison from wearing the 2 watches is the bracelet is much tighter in the Daytona. So can I somehow tighten up the GMT bracelet without a complete replacement? Thanks for your help. Best regards, Brian |

I would think that a decent jeweler could weld a new spring-bar tube into that link to tighten it up and restore it's fit...
