I'm really trying to shake the Panerai bug.
I get so close to pulling the trigger and at the last minute I turtle. Maybe it's because I've never tried one on due to the lack of AD's in my area or that I'm not totally sold in on what's inside that great looking case.
Anyway, I have a SD and an LV and am looking at the EXPII white or GMT IIc to compensate. What do you think? Too much black face with what I have and if I go with the GMT IIc? I love the white face of the ExpII but am DYING to know if they are going to chage the look...the EXPII right now looks too small. I want to do something sooner than later because I saw some threads stating that there is a price increase coming the second week of January which is now????

You should go to an AD that has all three and try them all on... then decide.
I think GMTIIC is a great addition to you watch... but like you said with SD and LV, you might feel they all look too similar.

Smart move! I sold my PAM 114 to get my IIC about 8 months ago.

And stick with the Mannifattura Pams, these justify the price and cease the ETA movement argument.

I was looking at the PAM 88...what kind of movement does it have?

1. Not a question of "if", just a question of "when"!!

2. Exp-II is fine as it is - I don't see a revamp. If you can pick up a V-series with the 3186 calibre, you'll come up ACES..........like I did!!

It's uses the 7750. A very strong workhorse movement that has withstood the test of time.

I can't speak highly enough of the 88. Some feel the dial is a bit busy, but it sings to me.

Mine might lose a half second a day.

Why not buy a PAM if you like them since you already have 2 Rolex? It's nice to mix it up with other good brands.

I am having the same problem as you right now. I have a TT Bluesy Sub and a SS Sub Date. I want something new and thought it was a Pam 104 or Pam 312. I went to a local AD and tried on the 104 and the dealer gave me an amazing price but I just couldn't pull the trigger. I'm sure if the AD gave me an amazing price on a Yachtmaster or GMTIIc I would have. The more I wait the harder it gets. I just added a IWC Big Pilot and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak to the list. It's getting harder and harder. I just gues not beong able to pull the trigger on the Pam says that its not the one for me. Good Luck

I guess if this i the toughest decision we have to make it's not so bad!!

I've had a PAM 104 for six months now and it's slowly growing one me, I almost sold it last month to fund a Sea Dweller. I rotate my watches on a regular basis and the 104 is now getting more wrist time than my Daytona!......... but I always go back to the Yachtmaster she's my favorite (In fact I bought the missus one)

I went from Pam 104 to DJ II. I really wanted the GMCII, but it seemed so small on my wrist coming from panerai. The DJ II is a good step, great size and weight compared to Panerai.

And now I want Radiomir :)

Base on your collection If you wanna stick with Rolex I would go for EXII Polar, keep them classic...

I want a white dial - eventually. The Expy ll seems the best value - compared to the SS Daytona. Since the latter are scarce, and 2-3 X as much, it's a tempting choice.

However, I would also like some variety with my Sub and Pepsi.

Pams are nice...but HUGE. They feel trendy.

Have they always been HUGE???

The PAM 88 is the Panerai I've flagged for my collection at some point in the future. Absolutely beautiful.

Nothing wrong with opening up your brand assortment, but you do have to honestly ask yourself if you're a watch fan or a Rolex fan specifically. If the latter, I'm afraid the PAM just won't scratch your itch.
