Make way for another GMT II C owner!!!

"T" to the "R" to the "F"

She's finally here!!! GMT II landed safely today! Thanks to Tony G.(justrolexes)

What a sweet watch this is.

Quick question, when in your home timezone do you set both the regular hour hand and the GMT hand to the same time, and then adjust GMT hand when you travel??

Let me know how the experts do it?

Dude, what a stunner!!!

Yes, I'd keep it on the same time unless traveling.

That's a great watch! Congratulations! As a matter of fact, it is the first Rolex that I ever tried on. It just feels luxurious, and sparkles like a diamond. It's also the perfect size, and has a lot of innovations as well. The Milgauss suited me better, so that's what I ended up with. However, the GMT is on my wish list. I have to say it is the nicest diver style watch I ever tried, and is very comfortable.
Enjoy it in good health!
Cheers,
Carl

Green hand goes on the military time equivalent to your local time. I.e. 6:00pm hour hand = green hand points to 18:00 on the Bezel.

Congrats!!! My Classic Pepsi GMT ll salutes your Ceramic!

I Do not see the point to put it on "Zulu"/UTC/GMT time unless you are a pilot at work or carrying out a military/maritime operation...or going to England!!!!!!

Set it at your home time and visiting destination time, with whichever hand suits you best!!!!!

Enjoy!!!

you're not helping me.

Awesome watch. I keep my hands synced up until I travel. Then I change the hour hand to the local time of where I'm at. If I need to know what time it is at home, then can glance at the 24hr hand. Just what I do...

Exactly what I do. GMT (24hr) hand stays on local time and when I travel the standard hour hand (mercedes hand) changes to my new time zone. You will find that the mercedes hand jumps hours (or at least it does on my GMTII).

Awesome watch, congrats!

Looks great, Matt! Congratulations on the new addition!

I love my GMT, but leave the 24-hour hand on UTC (GMT) and then adjust the hour hand to local time as I travel. I then can use the bezel to indicate the time in a third time zone (back home, or elsewhere.) I am only concerned about a few TZ that I want to track, and keep the offset in my head, so it isn't difficult that way.

The correct way is to set the green hand to GMT. The easiest explanation I've found on setting and reading the GMT can be found below.

Wow...thats a tough one

It's like picking your favorite child

I love each one for different reasons....

GMT II C is more classy I think and will wear much better with a suit.

The Pammie is great for jeans and casual events, the straps make it more versatile as well.

I think you are hard pressed to find a GMT better than these two
