Craving BLUESY all over again - should I flip PLATTY for it?
Hi guys,
Yes, that's right........want my beloved BLUE beauty all over again and there's only ONE way I can get it - one of my 4 watches has to go.......and it can only be the "high maintenance" SS/Pt. YM. What say you guys? A little help and good advice would be welcome!! Thanks - JJ Please think and vote - cheers!!

I voted to hang on to the Platty. With the TT GMT, another TT would be redundant IMO.

is that (only) one thousand dollars?
I'm sure I've heard banter that the current ceramic's aren't that far away?? if that IS the case I'd keep the YM!

Just forget about it my friend.
We both know all the blue ones you have got have give you bad luck. Now when everything looks good for you and your family why this model gives you an idea? And how do you dare to thinking of flipping your YM? So just try to come down to earth again and try to be happy with what you got. If you do such a deal then do not start to whine after a few months because I know that will happends. Just my 2 cents and you know this is wise words from me for once.

JJ, JJ, JJ......I'm glad I'm not the ONLY with 'new ideas'!!!
I voted that the final decision is yours, only because I could really advise you either way Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of the ss/plat YM, because it has no contrast. I know it's a popular model around here, but it's never done anything for me personally. That being said, I think it suits you better than the TT blue Sub in appearance. BUT.....I know how 'bluesy' gets you every time! I'd go for the 'older' version over the newer one as well, because of the coloring. As far as luck, I didn't give much credit to your previous TT Subs giving you bad vibes....it was just a coincidence IMO. By the way, I don't think the TT blue Sub is similar at all to your GMTII-C. Take some time and mull it over some more. Perhaps put your YM away in a drawer for a few weeks and see if you really miss it. It's a good test. |

Honestly, I thought the Platinum would be more difficult to scratch, not easier. The choice of course is yours, but please clear up this issue--I would appreciate it--thanks!

I guess I'd swop then simply because I wouldn't want a watch that I was almost too scared to enjoy wearing.

Yes but if you're getting the updated SuperCase/Max-Dial 116613 version you don't want to replace the ceramic bezel either

ey JJ,
Please do not leave our Yacht-club. How many scratches you have on your bezel now at this moment? Probably none, after having it a while. So do not go out from a worse-case scenario

That is exactly the reason of the "panic" reaction.
To get you of this wrong idea But i know you are going to make the right decision

JJ my friend- ARE YOU MAD??!!
Please keep the yacht-Master. Do you remember the last bluesy you had? You said it brought you nothing but bad luck. Don't start 2010 like that. The Yacht-Master is sooooo comfy! Wait til Jocke gets hold of this thread!

I vote for bluesy. You previously had one and are longing for it...the second time's a charm!
Good luck with your decision! |
