Kentucky blue ? Sure the guy will run faster then the "Kentucky derby" winner with the money . Wouldn't touch that one with a barge pole .

The seller is the United Way (a charity), in Lexington KY, just East of Louisville (home of the derby). Sheila Bayes is a well respected store in the community. It may be worth someone's time to call her at 859-225-4043 and learn more, perhaps obtain photos of the actual watch (instead of the stock photo).

I've seen the new ceramic blue subs and to call it "Kentucky Blue" might just be insulting to the grass...

Good to know, thanks for sharing. Might very well be legit and if so a very generous donation to a very worthy cause.

I doubt the intent is to defraud anyone. Perhaps the ad was not well researched. Here is the donor's website: http://www.sheliabayes.com/

I purchased a pen from them last year while living in Murfreesboro.

...GENUINE WATCH...and...GENUINE LISTING...

...I JUST NOW got off the phone with Sheila Bayes Fine Jewelery!

...they ARE the Rolex AD in Lexington Ky.

...they HAVE IN FACT donated a brand new Rolex Sub, the one pictured, to the relief cause!!

...the BUYER will receive the full package and the watch will be IN THE NAME of the BUYER!!

...this listing, as somewhat weak as it may seem, is the real deal guys!!!!!!!!

...do NOT REPORT...do NOT REPORT...anyone that has reported this listing, SHOULD in good conscience, contact eBay again and ask that your report be nullified.

Great to go out of your way and have this cleared up Stan . Just a thought ; Why doesn't this lady from the AD (trough you or directly) contact Steve or maybe Larry and see if this could not be "auctioned" or " raffled " off here . Not sure what the legal implications might be but as it is charity there should not be any problem I would have thought . I mean , given it is about a Rolex and this is a Rolex forum it might just fetch more money then the way it is presented on Ebay . Just my way of looking at it .

I that case , maybe someone should contact the seller and point this out to them . It would be a shame that this listing would get pulled instead of raising funds for a good cause . IMHO that is .

It's the real deal. . .part of Coach Calipari's "Hoops for Haiti" fundraising drive which has raised over $1,000,000 so far. Also auctioned off was dinner for six at Cal's house with Coach, his family and Ashley Judd.

Winning bid on the dinner. . . .$98k: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Bid early and often!
