Post for Watches You Regretted Selling

I sold this beautiful 1988 SS/YG Mint Datejust....

....and bought a new Datejust II.

Boy, was I stupid. I should have kept my vintage DJ together with my DJ2.

GMT 16750, in pristine condition with B&P. I miss the domed acrylic crystal and lighter weight when compared to a 16710 GMT II.

Sorry about your DJ, Ricochet. That's a really nice, and somewhat uncommon tapestry dial.

I've sold quite a few and fortunately, I can say that I don't regret letting any of them go.....at least that's today's answer!

Actually when I got my 1601, my son swiped my Seiko worth $$ new ten years ago. I made mention to him awhile back he could have it when I got my 1601. Now I forgot about that conversation but he did not and poof it was gone not more than a few hours of my Rolex on my arm.

Damn kids (he is 21), it is the best Seiko made.

Oh, hell this is a Rolex thread sorry!

Once purchased I've never sold a Rolex Oyster.
I did give my son a Marathon SAR which he wears w/ pride. I missed it so much had to buy another.

I've never regretted any watches I've sold yet.. they all had problems I couldn't get over like...
the james bond seamaster- evrybody had one
vintage subs - no lume, crystalscratching and not waterproof
white daytona - paris hilton and the olsen twins got one
Breitling - Bling bling.. lokked like a pimp
Panerai - obese, weight like a small car

Maybe the only watch I've regretted selling was a 2001 speedmaster moon, but then again I bought a pre-moon speedy after that which I liked even more

Bought as my first Rolex a brand new Explorer, took it back 3 days later and exchanged it for a brand new DateJust. Not sorry I did it as I enjoy my DateJust, but if I knew then what I know now I would have kept the Explorer and just bought the DateJust rather than trading the Explorer for it. 60 days later I bought a brand new Sub, looking back I should probably have bought the Explorer (again) instead of the Sub. I enjoy the Sub but am getting a bit tired of looking at it and am considering trading it for a new Explorer.

Yep, Explorer's are underated and in my opinion simply fantastic rugged watches that fit most people perfectly

rolex gmt-II 16710 m-series with the 3186
someone offered me a lot of $$$ for it and I jumped on it, but I will probably never have one again.

and a UN limited edition Camo watch - again, because I will never see one again most likely!

Omega Seamaster 2541.80, the 1st Omega in the James Bond series. I am not really a fan of quartz watches but for some reason I still think about that one. The funny thing is, I sold it to a guy who had owned several over a period of time and wanted one again.
