Large demand on GMT2??

Hey everyone, I just read on another post that there's larger discounts on the GMT2 than the subs. Is that true??

Also, are there a lot of "fans" or "followers" on the GMT IIC and the pepsi/coke GMT II?? Which fan are you??

Well, the ADs near me will not offer a single cent of a discount on anything...so I couldn't tell ya. They have an F serial Explorer II in their case for crying out loud...yeah, gonna pay retail for that! :)

VERY difficult choice... On the one hand, I love the classic Coke-Red and Black look, on the other, I'm a techno geek and always want the latest and greatest, which is the C. For me, the solution would be a Coke-C I wish Roles would hurry up and make one!

It's pretty hard to get a discount on both the Sub and the GMT II, but if you were talking about the GMT IIC, you can get discounts on that watch.

If I had to chose I'd be a Pepsi guy, but for now a want to be an LV sub guy =)

Bartender, please bring me a plain old Coke II. The IIC is nice, but.....so are all Rolex watches!

I LOVE my 16710 in Pepsi or Coke!

But at the moment I see preloved 16610 and 14030 prices RISE!

( Basel is coming )

I prefer the versatility of the classic GMT. Nothing wrong with the GMT IIc. I just love to change things up from time to time.

I prefer the Coke myself...but that's just me. As for the IIc, I have been offered 10% off one without even asking. They're nice (all Rolexes are) but it really didn't float my boat. I'm waiting to see how the ceramic subby makes me feel.

A local AD here (visited today) offers no discounts on any Rolex in the sport watch category.

$4200 Coke in excellent pre-owned conditioned Vs. Black Ceramic at $7000 MSRP?

Hmm....

Well--You can not get a Pepsi/Coke GMT ll at an AD as they are all gone. So that leaves the GMT2C--you can get for a good discount. The best way though is to get one LNIB or BNIB right here on TRF from a good seller--we all know who they are--You can get both a GMT2C and Sub for a far better price than from AD. Bottom Line--AD--unless it is a friend's store--you will pay more.

I walked out of an AD with a brand new GMT-IIc for $5950, including tax. Then again I paid in cash...

A few months back sub discount was possible but recently ADs do not provide discount or very minimum if any due to it may be discontinued with the introduction of new sub? GMT IIC discount to my understanding has been quite low since its introduction a few years back till now...

Not a fan of the super case, but the maxi dial is great!

Just the same, I'll take a Pepsi over a II-c any day.

It seems like many prefer the versatility of the original GMT II. This is actually a good point in which I never had thought about until now. I believe this is true as well since the new ceramic does not offer that luxury even if it does produce the coke/pepsi in ceramic. I think people will have to pick one or the other.

I'll go with the GMT Master II 16750. I can get a II-c anytime I want to.

Both great watches...and really very different...I like the bigger case and ceramic bezel....looks fantastic and has great wrist presence.
