Brad Pitt Rolex GMT

Not only does he have good taste in women, but he has good taste in watches! There's a pic in November's People magazine of him wearing the new anniversary gold GMT! I've attached a shot of it below.

I dunno. I tried the solid gold GMT on and did not like it. I think the dimensions are the same as the TT version, butt he TT breaks up the color scheme a bit and it is less of a glob of gold than a work of art.

I heard the SS version will come out about August 2007.

Now the LV sub is discontinued, right? What about the status of the GMT Annivs?

Who said the LV Sub has been discontinued? And no way will there be a SS version of the new style GMT II available by August, 2007. Won't happen. Not even close.

Please keep in mind that it is just a rumor that the LV has been discontinued no matter what any "AD" tells you and there is no way to know if/when a SS version of the the style GMT II will be released. My personal guess is it won't even be by the end of next year. No one knows any different for sure except for Rolex and they don't say anything to anybody until the time comes.

But what if it is a rumor that is a regular production model? JK!

It is not even the new year and the rumors are flying abound, when it gets close to the SIHH show, I can imagine the speculation that people will be having then.

Where did you hear that the new GMT is coming out in SS on Aug 07? This is my dream watch. If this is true and your source is reliable, I am selling my D series Sub now !! I want that GMT in SS so bad.

Don't hold your breath on that one. Even if they introduce it at Basel in April it will never appear on stores shelves by August.

I hear you, but at least I will know it's coming and make sure I am number one on the list at my AD.

No one knows anything for sure except Rolex themselves and they have made no official announcement whatsoever about a release date for a SS version of the new style GMT II. You won't know anything for sure until at least Basel next year. You only thing you know for sure now are rumors.

That is what my AD told me. They had the TT GMT 116713 in their price book BEFORE it was ever available, so they know when it will come out and what the pricer will be. When I get back to Tampa (less that 2 weeks I hope) I can check on the SS version.

Rolex has halted production of the LV Sub.

Hence the rise in AD prices...

I would disagree about Brad's choice in women and his character as well, being that I used to work for his Woman and had many issues with her, her associates, how she messed up my project and her and Brad's liberal ways. Could care less about the hypocritical hollywood crowd. But that is another story.

I suspect that the watch may outlast the "Lady" in BP's life.

Sorry for spreading rumors... I was just told the LV Sub was out of production by a seller that was probably trying to artificailly inflate the price of his LV Sub.

Maybe he was misinterpreting the term "limited edition".

I can just see a new SS GMT (If they ever make one) achieving the same unobtainable status as the SS daytona. Long waiting lists, selling above retail etc..

Why would rolex come out with a new model GMT in TT and gold and not make a SS version as well. I mean, the new GMT has a newer movement, newer bracelet, maxi dial etc yet they still make the older version with the older movement, bracelet and dial.

This is like a car manufacturer coming up with a new model vehicle for 2007, but still producing and selling the old 2006 model.

Or do they just want to use up all the remaining old movements and parts they have and they start production of a new SS GMT?

Yeah.... kinda like a watch maker selling both the GMT Master along side the GMT Master II.

Oh, they did that for a number of years didn't they? Produced and sold the GMT Master right alongside the GMT MasterII... so what would stop them from doing it again?

There's no rhyme or reason to what Rolex does...

I have seen lots of photos of him wearing a SS and black leather strap watch too, the case looks quite big and chunky. He's had it on for all the shots in India with Looba Lips Jollie and the kids!

Cant figure out what that watch is....
