Rolex threesome welcomes back a Milgauss White

Previously I posted my Rolex threesome -

I had sold a Milgauss White but quickly realized that I had made a mistake. Thus I bought another one! This time I will not let it go. I previously had sold a white Daytona and wonder if I will ever get the desire to have one again.....

Wonderful collection,and photos!!

I have 2 questions,

The date on the Datejust in the first pic seems to show "14" in black, but the other photos show date in red??????

Also when you compare the dials of your ExpyII and Milgauss,is the white different or is it the same????(i never saw the 2 together to compare)

I always assumed it was a different white!!!!

Congrats!!!!

Thanks for your comments.
My mistake in selling the watch (Milgauss) was simply that I loved it . I sold it after I bought a PAM 312, but then decided that I wanted it back so I bought a newer one.

The Rolex Datejust has a date dial that alternates between red and black for each day. Odd days are red and even are black. The red looks cool.

I will check the white on the Explorer 2 and Milgauss dials later but I think they do look different as seen in the photos.

Great collection...maybe you should photoshop the daytona back into the family to see how she looks.

This is the "roulette" or alternating red/black date wheel. You'll notice it's red on odd days and black on even. Rolex use the roulette date wheel in the 70s (I think); they brought it back on some of the DJ variants about four or five years ago with the new 116xxx reference numbers.

The Milgauss white used to be my least favourite of the 3 versions(i have a GV)..........

.........But those Mil pics are beautiful...i get the feeling that the white is less popular(more rare)and that in the future it may be the white and NOT the GV which becomes the WIS magnet(pun intended!)

Man you have an incredible collection!! I'm all about variation and you've got that nailed to a "T" congrats on building up such a fine team.

Although there does appear to be room for a TT GMT IIc ...
