No help from AD

Well I went in to get my bezel changed from a diamond to a smooth 18kt bezel on my 118348 today and he said can't do. Apparently Rolex won't even let a AD order a new bezel. He said a few years back any bezel work has to happen at RSC. And so I am stuck with 44 Diamond bezel. So much for a plan....

Is it a factory or aftermarket bezel?

I would think that you could find an authentic bezel in the aftermarket and sell the diamond one for a tidy sum...

Do some searching - it took me 6 months to find the right bark bezel for a 18078 but when it was all done, I actually made a few bucks.

If your is factory, it is a seriously in demand item in some markets.

Yea it is the original 118348 - 44 diamond bezel. I was going to keep it but wanted to dress it down some with the smooth bezel. The AD watchmaker said that Rolex has gotten somewhat smarter about after market bezel and changed the fit on any of the watches with the rolex rolex inner ring. who knows...

I think the problem is that the 118348 specifically denotes a diamond bezel on it - the smooth bezel version has a different model number. I don't know if they're machined differently, though

Rolex sees to it some parts cannot be retrofitted.

I asked an AD if I can buy a newer Jubilee bracelet with the hidden clasp to retrofit to my older DateJust. AD said not compatible, wont be able to install.

You can have a watchmaker do it for you--Rolex AD's can be real picky about part changes--even bezel--dials etc. That diamond bezel is real sharp--keep it on!!!

What is wrong with it?
Only if you feel threatened to get robbed. They are nice, I don't know why everyone is against bling. It is nice!

If you already have the other bezel, any watchmarker, like Tony said, should be able to take care of you.

Not sure where you are, but LOTS of reputable jewelers in Central Texas stock authentic Rolex bezels, dials, bands, etc...ADN they do swaps for me as a courtesy.

I won't change a thing.
It cost you a tidy sum to get it.
Why downgrade?
The blings look gorgeous and make it stand out with a "catch me if you can".
If only you can see my bling ...
