Best source for Pre-owned Ladies Rolex - Yachtmaster?

Our stellar TRF sellers et al seem to focus on mens watches - with the occassional ladies watch for sale. I know some sellers with AD connections could get a BNIB, but that may be more than I want to spend.

I am looking at the TT Ladies Yachtmaster - SS + Gold, white dial / black markers. My wife actually expresses some interest in this model after seeing one at an AD.

I personally favor the SS OPs, and the more traditional SS + gold models, but she gravitated toward the aforementioned lady Yachtmaster.

Any ideas on the best place to look for one of these - pre-owned?

I believe MSRP is about $8K ...I have seen some for sale on line at random sites I know nothing about for anywhere from $4.5K to $6K.

Thanks!

Unbelievable

I also mentioned it in a earlier post : "Women watches with no aftermarket alterations are rather scarce to find second hand"

Propably a WTB will give the best result but also a higher price because it becomes a sales directed market.

Thanks for your thoughts Jack

I know little about the womens secondary Rolex market. It does seem to be far, far less active than the Mens mkt...which I can understand...but just wondering if there was something I was missing.

Speed,

Try Capetown Diamond, they are somewhere in Georgia, USA but have a significant presence on line. Ask for Johnathan. I have bought a couple of pre-owened Rolex's from him, always as described and at good prices.

Also my a suggest a "mid" size YachtMaster for your wife. I bought my wife a mid and she loves the larger size which she says is a "trend" in womans watches now.

regards

steppy

I sell/buy a lot of Rolex watches, for a lady probably as many as a lot of guys. I do have a current SS/Platinum (179622), a current SS/YG/black dial (179173)and a current President (179178) porcelain/Roman, all with box/papers. If any of these have appeal, everything I have is available for the right price.

Hey Bill, try bocabling.com. They've got a pretty good selection and guarantee 100% money back if you're not satisfied.

Thanks everyone... My wife's wrist is TINY. TINY. Her wedding band is 3.25 to give you an idea. I think the Mid Size would be far too large. I am trying to get her interested in the Steel / Platinum Yachtmaster, but she likes the TT Steel + Gold, white dial / black markers.

Also trying to get her interested in a traditional gold / steel OP. No dice. She is fixated on the Yachtmaster.

The watch is pretty expensive - I think. $6700 or so on these sites.

Anyone have any experience with aande? I know Bernard is legit, but pricey.

Bocaling site does not work for me...

Maybe Steve Mulholland? He is great at finding watches.

FYI I've had the SS/platinum ladies' Yachtmaster (like my avatar) since 2/01. It is a wonderful watch. It is classy and can be worn with dressy outfits or with casual clothes. The bezel is also very practical. Although I'm 5'8" I prefer the ladies' size. It is not too small or dainty at all. It is a well-proportioned "professional" (sports) watch. Just for fun I recently tried on my same watch in mid-size at a Ben Bridge, because it is becoming fashionable for women to wear larger watches. I found the mid-size to be way too big for my wrist.

Has your wife actually seen the color scheme she wants in person? I initially wanted the TT blue Yachtmaster because it was as close to the "Bluesy" Sub in a women's watch. Photos looked great, but once I tried it on I was underwhelmed. The dealer then showed me a SS/platinum and I was hooked.

Good luck in your search!

Just an FYI, my wrist is 5 1/2", and all my watches are ladies' models that fit beautifully...I do have the extra links for each.

Thanks Boopie.

She tried on one at Turdneau not long ago. They did not have a Steel / Platinum model. I am not a fan of the TT Steel / Gold, but seems to be the only Rolex that has gotten to her. Don't ask me why. I prefer the looks of the SS/Platinum, but it would be her watch of course!

Thanks. I think a 29MM ladies model will be it - eventually.

question is this site a good source for ladies and mens watches? I'm trying to decide between those two sizes.
