Crazy by day, really BORED at night....

....I have landed in Austin, well actually me and Bogey the dog have landed here. We got here on Monday and I started in at work on Tuesday morning. As you can all imagine, I have had 8 million things to do during the days, but in the hotel we are getting very bored.

Andie had to stay in Dallas for a few days since Kylie had a doctors appointment today and they scheduled her for a surgery next Friday to put tubes in her ears. They are going to come down for about five days starting on Sunday, but will go back on Thursday for her procedure. After that they should be down here for good and the house hunting will get hot and heavy.

I gotta say, I hate not having my kids and wife around, I think even the dog is sick of looking at me, LOL!!

The good news is, at least I have my watches and also most of my straps to mess around with while killing time, and of course the laptop is fired up now that the extended stay place has fixed their WiFi.

Hope you are all well, and hope to be back regular as the job settles in.

After three strap changes and two watch changes, I think I will go with this combo on Friday.

I would, but I got Craig on the cell right now. Maybe in a bit, but I don't know if I will be that bored.

Hey Daren;

Friends were trying to get me to move down to Austin a few months ago but the weather was terrible so I decided to struggle through winter up here in the Midwest. Wouldn't you know the summer was lovely and the winter temps are currently in the low 50s. How's that for Wisconsin and all thanks to global warming.

Anyway, I was told Austin is the Music Capital of the country --- where it's all happening. Maybe you should get out a little while you have some freedom. It doesn't cost anything to look at all those co-eds as long as you behave yourself.

Andie will have you looking a dozens of houses and that's hard work.

Sincere best wishes and good luck!

Daren, wishing your lil one a speedy recovery! My son right now has had 5 ear infections since he started daycare.

He's currently in anti biotics and we're going to see a specialist on Feb 27. We may go down the path of tubes as well.

Do you know if the operation is simple? Will Kylie feel any pain? Will the tubes come out by itself when they outgrow it?

Take it easy for now, at least you've got us here in the forums.

One of my nephews had tubes put in his ears when he was three Vernon. He also was having problems with ear infections so the Dr opted to go this route. From what my sis told me the operation is a simple procedure. I believe it took 30-45 min tops to do both ears. They don't feel any pain because they are put to sleep. Some tubes fall out themselves and some the Dr takes out when they think they're ready to come out. In my nephews case he has one of them left in and one of them is out and it's two years later now. There is a definite improvement with his ears now. Hope this helps.

Hey Daren - it might be boring but some down time during the transition is probably not a bad thing either. That said, hope you are reunited with the family soon, and that the operation goes well.
