My new Submariner

Ever since I was a boy and saw Sean Connery's Bond wearing one I wanted a watch "like his."
Well, I've waited MANY years...and now I've finally purchased one!

thanks everyone!

honestly....it might sound silly, but sometimes I look down at my wrist and still cannot believe I'm actually wearing one?! I love the idea that this watch will be something I will pass on to my son!

A big Congrats!!

I have the same story. It took 20 years, but I finally got my Sub too! I will also pass it down to my son.

I only have one problem, I now have 2 sons so I will have to get at least 1 more Rolex to pass on. (hopefully 2 Pams as well)

fully waterproof....

I've just spent the past week at our place in AZ and have spent considerable time in the pool...testing my watches submersible abilities. All is well!

Excellent choice on such a classic model. My Sub gets more wrist time than all others (and I picked it up for reasons similar to the OP). Wear it in good health!!
And as others have said, welcome to TRF!

I'm on vacation at the moment, but when I get back home...to all my lighting gear...I'm going to have a lot of fun photographing my new watch! Any tips? Hints? Requests? Links to some of your favorite shots? This one shot I've taken so far I took with my phone...

I'll share them when they're complete.
