Just ordered my first Rolex

Just got off the phone with the AD and placed my order. Although I am thrilled, the worst part about this is that I have to wait for the watch to be made and shipped from Rolex. I am one of the most impatient people in the world, so this is like hell to me.

For those of you that don't know me, I made my account two years ago but am finally buying myself a Rolex. I am a 22 year old college student, but I have had great success as an options and equity trader. This past Thursday marked the end of my fiscal year since April 1st is the last day to fund your IRA. I secured my third consecutive year where I have CRUSHED the S&P 500 as far as year over year returns. As a reward and pat on the back, I decided to add a Rolex to my collection.

Rolex's slogan is "A Crown for Every Achievement". This watch marks the first of many to come.

I was planning on doing a live box opening. This is where I will create a thread, then in 30 minutes I would document the opening picture by picture. I guess if no one was interested in that, I could just spill the beans.

I think we're supposed to "guess which Rolex" it is until it arrives.

Is this the first pre-opening thread... I enjoy the guess which watch is under this cloth thread (especially when it was mine! lol) but this is the first I have seen of the guess when I will be posting the opening thread! We are all sick -lol
I can't wait to see, I am betting on the DSSD or SS Sub.

If you crushed the 500..
then it must be platinum.
When I was 22 I hadn't crushed 500
As a matter of fact not even 50.

well it isn't platinum let's put it that way. I saw a platinum rolex (can't remember if it was a DJ or Sub) at and AD but they wanted $47,995. Screw that.

I would say I crushed the 500. 140% return in 2007, 986% return in 2008, 165% return in 2009.

Just a question and i'll be the first to admit im not very good with stocks but isnt the S&P 500 DOWN about 18% from Apr 2007 to now?

A professional colleague of mine is a Mutual Fund mgr and im always slightly amused when he says he is doing well because he is beating his benchmark index. If the index is the S&P500 for example and the index is down 18%. So long as he is down LESS than the index then he is rewarded It doesnt matter if he actually lost money. As far as statistics are concerned he outperformed his benchmark.

Oh and since people are trying to guess your incoming watch. I'll guess you're getting a DSSD

you can make money in a down market by short selling. going long isn't the only way to profit.
