Plastic sticker on the back?

I want to remove this, do you guys leave them on or off? I assume most people remove it.

Will the green holagram fade or wear away? And does the model number, in my instance 16610 stay on the holagram or wear away? or is it just printed on the sticker.

Thanks for any help!

I took my plastic sticker off. The green sticker eventually just fell off in about 1 month (since I never took my watch off). The sticker actually fades away fairly quickly.

The plastic on the watch is just to keep anything from getting scratched untill sold. I think it's a great way to trap dirt and sweat against the watch.

Now Mike truer word have not been spoken, now your watch will not suddenly explode lose its authenticity. And it will still retain its water resistance, and you will not harm the very tough stainless steel.By removing whats in reality is only a bit of paper the plastic or the hologram.Infact leaving the plastic and hologram on,while wearing could do more harm than good. And if I remember correct there was a court case several years ago. Where a woman sued Rolex, because she had a skin reaction to the hologram glue. And know where in the documentation was she told to remove it,she thought if it was removed she would have made her guarantee invalid.

I still have my hologram on...well it is not much of a hologram anymore, it is more like a ligth green blurred sticker now. I guess it will be worn down to nothing in a couple of years.

The hologram has no value after the sale. leave it on or remove it , your choice.

If you decide to remove it, you might want to save it on a piece of wax paper.

There is no point in leaving the hologram on the watch. It is just a sticker.

that was the first piece of thing i took off...

another collector told me i was stupid... taking that thing off reduces the resale price...

I told he was crazy....the watch feels damn uncomfortable when the sticker starts to peel... and it is damn dirty when it starts collecting dust

Don't take the hologram off, the watch won't run in COSC specs if you do.

I don't care if it devalues my watch to remove it. I'm planning on wearing the darned thing for many, many years. I don't care about resale.

I have kept the plastic cover on over my holograms. I want to maintain them as long as I possibly can. Crazy that way. I like the holograms.

Mine is still on after 7 months of everyday wear. When it goes, it goes.

I let my hologram comes off on its own, but the sticker I removed right away.
It gets nasty with all the sweat and grime.
