Look at it....Dial at least looks like crap...Lugs are huge unless it's a camera trick, that and more. Could be the camera, but I don't think so...I can't copy the images from the auction so I grabbed a screenshot of the dial..YUCK:

The reason for my original question was that other than the clearrly fake/refinished dial the rest looked OK to me ( no expert here). The font on that dial looks to me like the font you see when they change the colour of Sub dials or create aftermarket Serti dials. The clasp code is correct for the year the seller is stating. I just didn't think it was necessarily a total "Fake". Cheers

Guys, i haven't looked at the dial in detail but will do in a bit but otherwise that watch is FINE and GENUINE

Edit - Looked at the dial some more and think it's fine re the text, and spacing etc but the Swiss T<25 and crown look a bit odd. Could be angle or size of pics maybe as they both look stretched vertically.

It certainly isn't a fake sub imo.

Watch may be fine, but the DIAL is a nasty redial!

I wonder why someone would put a fake dial into a real watch? Stay clear IMO .

Not a fake dial a refinished dial. The reason is because Rolex restrains the trade and parts are if not imposable prohibitively expensive.

I've just gone to my other machine with decent monitor (was on 14" lappy before) and got both pics up next to eachother and in editing software etc. It's a redial but it's not "nasty". It isn't bad imo. Only the SwissT<25 is noitcebly quite off.

There's no point me asking as he doens't ship out of the USA but one of you folks should contact the seller, express your concerns about the dial. Seller has a return policy and is open to questions so ask him if you bought it and it was confirmed as not an original dial would he offer full refund?

Why? It's a good watch otherwise. Great bargaining tool to get a good deal on it. How much would Rolex charge to put it right with a service too? $500-600? Once he knows what he's got he may be open to good offers to get rid of it.

You get no argument from me!

Unfortunately, some "unknown" bidder, that can not tell the difference between a redial or original, will believe all is fine and bidded up to low $3Ks. NO PAPERS. The watch will probably need a service and a new replacement dial. Before you know it, $4K.

NOT WORTH IT!

the bracelet looks real but looks like it may have been taken from another sub, a much older sub... the dial is aftermarket, so is the insert. but the watch it self is real. just aftermarket dial and insert.

Which bit on insert make you think it's after-market? It looks too shiny because it's got 5000W of camera flash bouncing off it, lol.

I think we should all get into a 15 passenger commuter van with 10X loops and visit these sellers.

Do not like that dial either , just doesn't seem right . I believe "Orchi" would get stomach ache just by looking at it .
