Who has ordered the new SUBc . 116610LN ?

I have had some dealings with my AD over the last 2 days because of some unfortunate matter ( I may expose this matter here at a later stage depending the outcome )
Anyway , one thing lead to another and I just pledged to take a new 116610LN when they are available . My AD has already taken 2 other orders with each a 5000 euro deposit . No final price as yet ( expected to know by June ) Any more of us has succumbed to this temptation ? I will most likely sell it to some desperate one without patience as I still believe the SDDS is superior to the 116610LN . Well .. you never know I like it enough when I get my pawns on it .

I haven't ordered the new Sub, mostly because first I wanna see them in the flesh, and compare them against the SS GMT IIC. And only after then I'll decide which one should be my first Rolex. But I have a strange feeling that my ideal Sub would be a combination of the two new models: green gold dial + black ceramic bezel. We'll see...

I should be getting the first one at my AD. Got the first 16610LV that they got, so why not get this one too.

It's not a limited production watch. Unless you're getting it at MSRP I see no reason to do so.

No need to be insulting to anyone here, I don't think you fully understand how some things work here in Europe...Most ADs here in Spain require a deposit for something new like that.

Look my AD didn't ask me for a deposit and I will not pay over RRP for that watch, but that doesn't mean that I'm not a jacka** . Still I think if the economy picks up in the US and the USD gets even stronger against the Euro , I stand a good chance to lay that watch off with a little profit to some US based buyer that cannot wait to get one . Who will be the jacka** then ?

I think it is utterly clear who the jackass is.

Just in case there's any uncertainty, it's Walds**.

I am not insulting anyone, just making a comment. If you have the funds to tie up for an unknown period of time, go for it and you'll be locked into the new model.

I am with you. It's a free market.

About deposit, no deposit....

Does a deposit of that size mean you won't be paying over MSRP? And that you will be offered the watch in the order of receipt by the AD?

I could see how being on an AD list with no deposit/no committment to buy would just guarantee you, if you were the 3rd person on the list, to be the 3rd person offered to buy the new sub at MSRP + $1K, or something like that....

No not in my case , apparently 2 customers of my AD have each paid 5000 deposit to be nr 1 and 2 respectably on the list . I said that I would take the 3rd one , but I didn't offer nor was I asked to put down a deposit . I can imagine that my AD just wants to find out how many he wants to order ( commit to with Rolex Spain ) and make sure he will sell them . Then again , that should be no problem as that new model will be popular anyway ( depending on the price ) I have a good idea who one of those guys is that put down the deposit . Whatever the price of that 116610LN may be , it will be pocket change to him . Anyway , my AD will sell those watches at RRP and never over .

Not sure about the others, but for me it's no deposit, just the option to buy. Not sure if it will be MSRP or discounted at this point. Hopefully the latter!
