Icon20 Why doesn't Rolex put white gold logo instead of the white print inside the GMTIIc?

I think the white gold logo like the daytona would be great inside the gmt master IIc...

I think that all the sports models have that print while all the classic like(DD, DJ..) have the yellow gold or white gold. I think it make since...and yes the daytonta only sport that have the gold logo.

Is it just me, or does that crown look off? Aren't the crowns a bit thinner and taller than that?

It's an applied piece of gold. There are limits to what even rolex can do...

Rolex will throw out imperfect pieces and replace it with correct ones when watches are being made.

Nice Rolex Ian, the Millgauss is really growing in my mind!
WG crowns are really stunning on classic models.. I don't think they will match sports model as SUB's & GMT's ...

absolutely agree...hate that tiny white painted crown on the dial. Wonder why rolex does not make it standard white gold at 12. looks so rich.

I like the painted coronet on my Explorer. It's not so conspicuous, so that only the knowledgeable have a clue as to what I'm wearing.

Maybe Rolex feels that the dials of the sports watches are already clogged , hence they do not put the wg logo ?

There is a general pattern here: When Rolex puts the crown in the 12:00 position it is white gold, if the 12:00 position is a lumed marker, and the crown is below it, then it is painted. That is the difference between the Daytona and the other sports models, the crown is at 12:00

Check it out...

I think this logic is sound. I'm theorizing that an applied 12 o'clock marker PLUS an applied logo is visually too much. I guess Rolex wanted to have greater contrast between the markers and the logo.
