New Sub LV vs current LV
Which one do you prefer in terms of color combination ? this thread isn't to talk about the ceramic bezel, only color combo

The new green dial is a just a bit too much for me.
I don't think the new LV is versatile at all. So I like the old. |

As far as I know, Rolex makes only one watch DIAL with a solid precious metal - the SS/Pt. YM which is fitted with a 950 grade solid Platinum dial. Now a green gold dial would be a welcome change. JJ

Always thought it was too much green, however, I looked down at my LV this weekend, and the light was shining on the face in a way that made it look green - Kinda liked it!

I will be more likely to love green ceramic bezel... but after I got my current LV, it is just the green I need, it attracted attention already .... having the dial become green is amazing.... but it's too green for my taste.

X2! Agreed, just enough green for a nicely balanced look.

Green is my favortie color and while I like to look at the new watch in the display case, I think that is as far as it will go. I think its a neat look but wouldnt want to own one, so I say current LV as far as ownership potential goes.

Of course I'll have to reserve final judgment until I actually slip one onto my wrist but I think I'm gonna like the new one!

Difficult to say conclusively by just looking at pix...but I like the new LV, mainly because I'm a fan of ceramic bezels. I think they simply look better.

Green on green is too much, IMHO (without mentioning the green bezel, LOL)....
The green gold dial, though, looks pretty good.....I'm hoping the Basel 2010 pre-show at the Rolex store in Paris next week will have a production-ready Hulk to check out. |

I like the 2010 green
After looking at some You-tube videos, it's hard to tell what the shade of green will actually look like in natural light. On You-tube, it actually looks more like a slate green than in other pictures. In either case, I very much like it and am holding off on buying my first Rolex until I can see it in person.

No contest! the new LV has the bloated supercase that just looks out of proportion with the bracelet, and the green colour of the bezel reminds one of something you might cough up while having a very bad cold.....I'll happily stick with the original thanks!
