Then again, going out and working on lighting or editing video seemed like a break from doing physics homework! I also took a lot of psych. electives (we were forced to take a certain number of non-course related material to "round us out") and that was like taking a break too. I actually enoyed reading those books! |

The most valuable thing I learnt was - There is no substitude for hard work. I had two jobs and was doing work experience all during uni, and I graduated nicely, with every single thing handed in on time too. All the others didn't work and yet complained about how hard the uni assignments were, not enough time etc etc..... A very important lesson I think.

Bachelor of Science, double majored in Finance & Information Systems Management, NYU Stern 2000
Did a few years of investment banking, hated every bit of it, used all the money saved to buy a couple apartments and flipped them for profit, now I does my own real estate investment since I realized with my limited capital the most return I will earn back on my investment is by real estate. Enough to quit my day job.

Education alone does not make the man. Unfortunatelly there is no school that teaches principles, ethics, integrity, sympathy and honesty to name a few of the virtues that play a big role on who and/or what you really are.

I got my degree for the best reason -- because I wanted one. Those who think it automatically buys them respect, higher pay, fast cars and Swiss bank accounts are mistaken.
