on the new Explorer (214270). Just need to wait till Christmas!

I tried the Explorer 1 and found it too small. The Explorer 2 was the perfect size but I didn't like the look of it on me. Also tried a Milgauss but it was way too big and chunky for me.

The AD assured me that the new Explorer won't be the size of the Milgauss. Is she right? Will it be nearer the size of the Explorer 2?

Anyway, I'm excited!

The Milgauss is thicker to be able to hold the movements Faraday cage.

As for diameter... the Explorer II measures just slightly over 39mm, as does the Milgauss - both are advertised as 40mm watches....

I think that you will find the Explorer 39 about the same size but without the thickness, therefore it will be less "chunky."

I doubt that your AD has ever laid eyes on an Explorer 39, so take what they say with a grain of salt..........

I read the new explorer is 39mm diameter vs. milgauss @ 40mm. I wonder which has a longer case length (lug to lug) or is thicker......the milgauss or new explorer?

I didn't try on a Milgauss to directly compare, but I do confirm that it "wears thin"....It's not a bulky watch by any means. And I was very impressed by it.

Congrats on a great choice!! I'm fully confident you're going to LOVE IT.

Cru Jones, I see in your other post that you have an Explorer II. I felt that the ExpII was the perfect fit for my wrist. How does the new Explorer compare in terms of size including the lugs? I really couldn't go any larger than the ExpII. Thanks again.
