Green LV Sub.......

Would you buy it ..... if you could buy it at list price today?

I have the opportunity to buy it tommorrow ... should I pull the trigger?

I can honestly say I like the watch.

Hi Rev. I personally really like that watch. If I had the chance I would buy it but its your cash. Good luck with the decision.

To me this is really a personal choice. I am not condeming any person for flipping or not flipping. But for me personally I have walked away from one (Kermit)since I knew I wouldn't keep it. I also walked on a SS Daytona last November, I did not want to get it at list from my buddy who is an AD then turn and flip it.

Best of luck Mark, the watch is dead sexy with that maxi dial!!

The maxi dial is the best feature, all else remaining the same. Personally, I would love this same watch with black bezel and maxi dial, but if GREEN smiles at you, then go for it!

Good luck and keep us posted!!

Cheers - JJ

Would I buy it? Personally, no, but that's because I prefer black to green.

However, if the green bezel appeals to you, and you can now get it at list, go for it - actually, you could even be be cheeky and push for a discount!

If you decide you don't like it then you can make a quick $500 on it so you have nothing to lose.

Lv

Call me crazy, but I actually like the look of the LV over the basic black sub.
It's different... and I like that.
The main reason I never bought a Rolex is simply because the Sub and the DJ are probably the most copied watches in the world, and everybody seems to be wearing one. Real or fake.
Also, where I live, everybody has one. And they are the real kind.
But the LV... I hardly ever see it on people wrists.

When I first saw the publicity pictures, I didn't like it but once I'd seen one in the flesh, I changed my mind. Go for it, after all, it's not as if it was orange.

I did.
Even though this one still has all its protective stickers, I'm still a fan. The maxi dial is oh so cool. Not sure if I will ever wear it, but it is still a neat watch to look at and study.

I'm with James on this one, Mark. The LV is not to my personal taste, but if you like it and the price is right, then go for it. Don't even think twice about it. Hey, that's how I've built my entire collection. If I liked it and I could afford it, bang, it was on my wrist in a flash.

Yes Mark if you can get one at list,go for it I like the maxi dial over the
standard Sub dial.Anyone wanting the LV look can buy the green A/M bezel insert on Ebay, they will fit all subs. You can then see if you like the Kermit for
little cost, just remember to change back to your original for service etc.

Go for it!

I do agree with John that I was not a fan until I saw it in the metal. No photo I have ever seen has captured the shade of green correctly IMO.

Agreed, Al, when I saw it for the very first time, I was quite impressed....more by the maxi dial than anything else. The colour green is a personal thing and it could grow on you....eventually. The watch itself is an absolute cracker!!

i personally dislike the kermit.. i only wish they had chosen some other colour for this 50th edition. I would buy it if i were you though as you do sound as if you like it, and if you change your mind.. sell it at a profit..

I like the green bezel, although I know it does seem to invoke strong feelings.
I got mine at list and really love it. The Maxi-dial is so much more legible.

I wouldn't buy it at a discount, but I don't like it.

If you honestly like it, buy it. There's no other reason to buy a Rolex.

looks so so, but will be stopped soon, tt looks much better, so in time will become rare,
imagine in 10years the new gen of new Sub seekers will be willing to kill for one, not that you will sell yours eh, but it could end up like a 1655, rare and desirable

Well, it's on the way from NJ. Should have it middle of next week.

I really do like the watch and look forward to putting it on my wrist next weekend.

BTW ... anyone else interested in one from a AD NIB, let me know via email. He has 2 more left.

Good show, Mark. Wear it in good health. And let's see some wrist shots when it gets there.
