Come on Amanda, a couple of eagles saying "Hello" that's just part of our typical Australian hospitality we give to all our visitors, you know, friendly snakes, cute sharks, sweet spiders, gorgeous scorpions etc. etc. there all good fun which we generously make available our friends who travel here from overseas to enjoy

At least she didn't get jumped on by a giant Kangaroo in the middle of Collins Street.

The funniest part of the article was our foreign visitor: "crashed into a gum tree in Australia last year while flying in Victoria" Yeah you gotta watch those gum trees, man they are real killers!

For those of you who are not Australian, the foregoing is tongue in cheek.

For some strange reason, the follow phrase keeps popping into my head, with an Ozz accent
" a dingo ate my baby"

@ LOL-X and Mini!!! I was terrorising a tourist ( a friend of a friend) about all our creepy crawlies last weekend at dinner... she was quite alarmed! Sooo much fun explaining them all to someone from Sweden!

I got bitten by what I think must have been a White Tailed Spider about 2 weeks ago.. bit me on the side of my shin. I've had a red slightly raised patch on my leg for this entire time, about the size of 2 x 50c pieces!!! At least my leg hasnt fallen off...

I did a self diagnosis on Google.... love google!

Speaking of animals in their own domains...
I heard in a news bulletin a few days ago how the Melbourne Water Police were thinking of carrying rifles, due to the presence of a 5m White Pointer in the bay during an upcoming swim they host annually. They mentioned shooting this shark... I was like 'WHAT THE cancel the bloody swim, leave the endangered species alone in THEIR own territory!!!" The cooler waters are bringing in some really BIG Sharks of late. Given how many people play in the ocean - not that many get eaten.

Yes agree Amanda movies like Jaws gave the shark a bad name. And yes like all wild animals or even domesticated ones sometimes bite back.Myself took a hit in the back by a large Oceanic white tip shark. While doing a safety stop at around 5m in the Red Sea,but it was just a hit and thank god not a bite.Amanda the most dangerous animal on this planet today, is well we look at him/her in the mirror each day its man himself. And like you say Amanda its man in the sharks territory, the shark don't enter into mans earth.
