Buying a black 16610 bezel insert
Hello,
Last week I luckily found and bought on ebay a genuine new sealed black bezel 16610 insert for my 16610LV (I know I may be crazy but I want to keep it like this, new and sealed, don't ask me why ). I plan to buy another new one (I know... ), but it's hard to find and AD's won't sell them. I wondered if an AD could sell me a new insert if I just give it a used one without any 16610 of course (genuine but badly scratched or so) ? What do you think about it ? Realistic or there is no way... ? Thanks |

As a standard practice, they do not. One exception, when the Los Angeles RSC was still around, I swapped bezel inserts in my GMT II (Coke -> Pepsi) and they let me keep the old one, after some persuading on my part with the front desk representative.

Are there no RSC's near you, in the UK you can buy them from the service centres direct. Can you not do this in France?

did not realise how easy it is to get a new bezel insert for a 16610, thought i would have to wait till it was serviced, was in torquay (uk) yesterday and looked in at the AD, trying on a explorer and gmt11c as an afterthought mentioned my lumi dot was cracked , no problem £35 ($52) should take 3 days, so ordered one straight away, very helpfull lady and a nice experience, on my way out noticed a good selection of omegas, another 30 minutes trying on their planet ocean range, never understood till that moment what people meant when they say if a watch sings to you!! well one did but i will not mention which on this forum.

Best thing to do would be buy an after market bezel, then send watch to Rolex and ask them to supply a new bezel. They will then swap the non genuine part out. Then you have old original part plus the new one.
