Hey Guys,

Bought a Deepsea back in Feb, loved it wore it every day since, but last couple of days have made a point of wearing it for almost 13- 14 hours.

My wrist is hurting a bit, anyone else had same problem, or am I just a big woos ?

Love to hear your thoughts :)

Well, my wrist never hurt to say but I just sold my DSSD, I loved the watch however it was just too big for me... Its a beauty but not for me, I will stick with the 40mm.

The day my DSSD arrived. I went for a run. Last time I'll do that. Don't think your a wuus, but have a fairly active lifestyle. Personnally, from normal wear I haven't experienced this.

well, probably am a wuus for initial thought, however I did go to the gym for a long time yesterday ( obviously for a bit of rolex posing ) anyway first time I felt a bit of ache.

Have to read the charlie thread ! will have to re find manliness !!!!

LOL. Is there any place some won't go to do some "Rolex posing"? A watch is the last thing that will impress anyone in a gym!

Maybe try actually working out? Try some dumbells, esp. if your wrist and arm is weak to the point of aching when you wear the watch.

Dear George Ab, Which paw do wear your deapsea on? Front or rear. I can see by your face that you are quite active but i would imagine that you might struggle a little with the deapsea. Regards Stephen

Well, heavy watches can be cumbersome by the end of a long day.

I owned the OMEGA PO once. At a massive 222 grams, it felt really uncomfortable toward the end of the day, so I got rid of it. Nothing beats the sheer comfort of the Exp-II which is just 125 grams.

Well, even my Pt.YM at 146 grams is very, very comfy. I'm wearing it right now even as I type this and its inward curving lugs gives it that added comfort.........coupled with its sleek and sexy 11 mm height!!

Sorry, you are not a wuus, the watch is darn heavy (220 grams) and the majority of it is situated at the top (I think the watch head is 135 grams). The truth of the matter is simply that depending on the anatomy of your wrist, its thickness, the amount on muscles etc) may or may not fit you.

I think there is a lot of misconception about the DSSD. It designed to be the most extreme automatic diving watch in the world, and given the specs it is actually surprisingly small and wearable, however no one can say it is the most comfortable watch in the world to wear 24/7. It is more of a tool than a wrist watch actually.

Having said that, it is cool/great to own such marvel of engineering - it is by far the best made Rolex I've ever owned/seen - but no, you are not a wuus to feel some occasional ache from wearing it. It is not a 24/7/365 watch IMO.

The DS weighs a staggering 220 grams; pretty good heft as far as timepieces go.

However, this said, it still translates to less than half-a-pound (or 0.485016 pounds).

That's pretty light to me, even on a wrist of average size and strength.

Then again, it's all relative and very personal I realize, and to each their own.

Hasn't happened to me yet (I wear my DS 8+ hours daily), but perhaps the cumulative effect of all this weight over extended time does result in some stiffness or soreness.

Hope things work out for you regardless.

If your body can't hack it, flip her for something more manageable.

Comfort before vanity, okay??

Yes it would appear that you are not the only one who has trouble wearing the deapsea all day. I suppose Rolex SA Geneve would say you should be submerged a few thousand feet and then it won't feel so heavy.
As my post above this one points out even some of us who run and have more then two paws to spread the load find the deapsea difficult. Regards Stephen

I had a platinum DD that was heavy and my wrist would get sore after I wore it. After a few days it was fine but in rotation I guess is where you feel it the next day if any.

I sometimes feel that a watch can cause my wrist to ache a little if I spend too much time at the computer, but I've had issues with my wrists. Usually I just take the watch off and set it on my desk and after 15 minutes the pain goes away. However the size of the watch has less to do with it than the comfort of the the band. In normal conditions (ie not a marathon computer day) Ive never had issues even when wearing watches larger or heavier than the DSSD. On a side note, I couldnt possibly fathom wearing a watch to the gym let alone weight training. Our wrists swell up based on activity and atmospheric conditions. Dont constrict your wrist while working out, just my $0.02....

I owned my deepsea for 6 weeks and wear it 15 hours a day. And I am not having any problems with weight issues. It is very comfortable.

I did not find that the DeepSea hurt my wrist...but it was just a little too large. I think Rolex did a fine job engineering a watch with those proportions while making it very comfy.

That being said now that I own a Daytona I can certainly state that it is even more comfortable then my Milgauss GV was and my EXP-II is...this Daytona is like a wrist slipper - just amazing...
