I just love My dad... :)
Some of you might be wondering why I haven't wore my DJ in a while...
For the past 3 weeks. Dad has been doing some works outside the house, with an old partner of his. He wakes early everyday so I don't see him leave. He told me that he was gonna need a watch to use during the work he's doing. So I told him, when you're about to leave, go to the watch box and choose a watch. The first day at work. He wants to take the DJ. So he wakes me up and tells me, "Add links to the Rolex, I'm gonna take it this whole week" so I say "Alright, no prob". I added 3 more links to the watch. And off he goes to the job. He's been on the job for 3 weeks. I haven't seen my DJ again... only on his wrist. But it shines every time I get to see it on his wrist. And he wears it proudly. My dad deserves the DJ more than I do. I'm thinking quite seriously on giving it to him as a daily wearer. And when I want to wear it, I'll just ask him to lend it to me. He doesn't take it off! only when he's gonna get a shower. And my dad's 70 yrs old. He had a Sub Bluesy but he sold it... so I think daddy deserves it. From my wrist... to his. |

Great story! We are used to hearing about giving a watch to a son or daughter. Awesome to hear a heartwarming example of giving one to a father.

Thanks, Guys. I just got the RSC Box where the watch came in, I put it on his dresser with a lil' note I made. Let's see his reaction when he gets here.

Dude, I started to tear-up just reading the initial post.
You are a fortunate man to understand and appreciate the relationship you have with your father. You are one classy guy and a real example of what really matters.
