Rolex 18K Day-Date President!!!
Hello guys I was looking into buying a rolex 18k day-date presidential but I didn't know what color face dial should I get. I was hoping if I can have some opinions on which dial color looks the best.
BTW, I was really interested in the white dial I felt that it brings out the glossiness in the watch. All opinions would be greatly appreciated. |

Vinnies, which such an expensive watch I would prefer something exotic to go along with it. For example, I would prefer an MoP dial or a Meteorite Dial...
And also you didn't say which 18k did you plan to get... The Yellow Gold or the White Gold? I would pick the MoP for YG, and the meteorite for the WG. However, the champagne dials are also nice on YG, while the silver dials on WG looks stunning as well. But the first two I mention, the MoP and Meteorite are the ones I would prefer. NB: Welcome to TRF! |

YG day-date......white dial w/ gold Roman numerals........or champagne dial w/ stick indicies. These will never go out of style & you can't hand it down to your kids.

Hey sorry about that the yellow gold is what I'm interested in and that was a good point you made there it would be better to get a more flashier face since it is an expensive watch. I also like the mop dial as well, it would be nice with a diamond dial face.

The contrast of a black dial on a YG Pres looks great, I saw a guy last week on the train on my way home with one on.....really nice. That combo with a black Rolex croc strap would be for me.
And for me, diamonds on a blokes watch is just |

Yes, I personally prefer that MoP on YG... the dark MoP... with or without diamonds is a matter of taste, but me, I prefer no diamonds, I don't like diamonds on my watches.
However, if it suits your fancy! :D |

Man I love the Day Date!!
I hope to get one eventually - and when I do it will be something with roman numerals! It's the classiest watch out there and I think the romans suite it "presidentially" lol

Hi Guys: just joined forum...
have a Day date in champagne with stick. Love it. You cant go wrong with these If I had to do it again, may have bought the white gold or Platinum, may get more use out of it. sometimes yellow gold draws too much attention at business meetings, that are essentially envy. best avoided so...I am looking for another rolex...for everyday Looking at SS date just. Found the new domed bezel with jubillee bracelet. Look at the new black dial (with circular lines and numbers, dont know what they call this one, looks nice but a bit busy). also found grey and silver dials with numbers or sticks, and black deial with sticks They are all good, am leaning to the grey or black any suggestions?? are any dials better than others on resale?? Cheers |

You can't go wrong with a truly classic watch.
Nothing says class like a gold stick dial. |

Its a classic, and nothing says expensive and class like
simplicity and tradition. Sticks on silver or white would be perfect, or maybe Roman if you want it to look more modern. |

what color is the dial? I know the sticks are gold. I don't see new ones that look like that.

For YG get the white MOP dial with the romans or the diamond hour markers, it has the timeless look of a normal white dial with a beautiful twist. a second choice would be the meteorite dial.

If it's in the budget I'd go with a meteorite dial hands down!
If not than anything with romans suite the DayDate IMHO!

For dress this is a fav of mine.
It always looks classy and is a great time piece. Rolex used this model in their Billboards for years meaning it must be very popular. |

Roman numerals give the watch a unique look, esp in white dials.

I've got a gold face, gold DJ that is really nice looking. But, I think white is tough to beat. For me, when talking about a DD or other all gold watch, the only three choices are black, gold, or white. And, you can't go wrong with any of those three.
